  • Publication number: 20240319187
Abstract: A biosensor and virusometer allows continuous, real-time detection of viral particles of pathogens, especially SARS-COV-2, both in indoor and outdoor air and in liquid samples in which the pathogen(s) have been collected. The biosensor includes a quartz crystal microbalance coated with a layer having one or more antibodies specific to one or more pathogens to be detected. A first virusometer is described, including an aerosol collector, which makes it possible to increase the concentration of pathogens before taking them to the biosensor. A second virusometer has a receptacle, divided into a first cavity wherein air exhaled by a user is collected and concentrated, and a second cavity wherein the biosensor is arranged.

  • Publication number: 20240310654
Abstract: Optimizing visual performance of a spectacle lens using metrics of visual performance includes selecting one or more metrics of visual performance for the lens. Creating functions of the metrics of visual performance, each having a function value that decreases as a values of the metrics of visual performance increase. Creating a merit function for lens optimization, the merit function having a main term that contains a weighted sum of functions that decrease as the metrics of visual performance increase, the weighted sum of functions including a set of viewing directions or a set of points with a one-to one correspondence with the set of viewing directions. Minimizing the merit function to optimize lens surfaces. Then designing an optimal lens having the optimized lens surfaces to optimize visual performance.

  • Patent number: 12036663
Abstract: A method and a control arrangement for determining a relation R?MA between a robot coordinate system of a robot and an MA coordinate system of a moveable apparatus, the movable apparatus including a sensor device and a localization mechanism configured to localize a sensor coordinate system of the sensor device in the MA coordinate system, wherein a marker is arranged in a fixed relation with a reference location on the robot. The method includes positioning the marker in a plurality of different poses in relation to the robot coordinate system. For each pose of the plurality of different poses, the method includes: determining, on the basis of sensor information, a relation C?M between the sensor coordinate system and a marker coordinate system; determining a relation MA?C between the MA coordinate system and the sensor coordinate system; determining a relation R?E between the robot coordinate system and a reference location coordinate system.
