The first UE group number may be based on at least the one or more paging attributes. The UE may receive a paging indication including a UE group number. The UE may proceed to receive and decode the paging message associated with the paging indication when the UE group number in the paging indication matches the first UE group number. Otherwise, the UE may safely disregard the paging message.

The UE may transmit an indication that indicates the MB service or a frequency via which the MB service is available via the second RAT. The UE may receive an MRB configuration associated with receiving the MB service via a target base station using the second RAT. The UE may switch from a second unicast DRB, of the second RAT, to a second MRB, of the second RAT, after handover.

A wireless network may implement different techniques to trigger the UE to transition from the idle or inactive state into the RRC connected state to receive multicast services. The BS receives, from a core network entity, a resource configuration request for the PDU session over the network slice. The BS transmits, to the core network entity, a resource configuration response indicating a cause for rejecting the resource configuration request. In one embodiment, a UE transmits, in a first cell frequency of a network, a network registration request message requesting a network slice of the network that is not provided by the first cell frequency.     Abstract: Enabling Ethernet Header Compression (EHC) for use with data sent within a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) control plane of a wireless communication network. In one aspect, a wireless communication device sends a signal to a wireless communication network indicating the device supports EHC for data transfer over a control plane. The device obtains a response from the wireless communication network indicating the wireless communication network supports EHC for data transfer over the control plane. The device then sends an Ethernet packet compressed using EHC to the wireless communication network over the control plane. The wireless communication device may be configured to send a request to the wireless communication network to use EHC before sending the Ethernet packet compressed using EHC. The device then sends the compressed Ethernet packet only if the request is granted. In another aspects, complementary EHC features are provided within a network component of the wireless communication network.
