  • Patent number: 11073318
Abstract: Provided is a method for adaptive control of a refrigeration system, the method including calculating a Number of Transfer Units (NTU) rate or an indicator representing the ease of variation of temperature (FVT) of an evaporator of the refrigeration system, to detect a frost level in the evaporator, to define the most suitable defrosting time, the energization of the drainage resistors and the adaptive management of the evaporator fan combining different operating modes, including an ice-free mode that uses only the cooling capacity of the refrigerant, and different modes with ice, which take advantage of the latent heat stored in the ice to save energy, depending on the frost level in the evaporator.

  • Publication number: 20200049393
Abstract: ADAPTIVE CONTROL PROCEDURE FOR REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS which comprises the detection of the frost level in the evaporator by means of a calculation method of NTU rate, allowing to define: the most suitable defrosting time, the energization of the drainage resistors and the adaptive management of the evaporator fan combining different operating modes. An ice-free mode which uses only the cooling capacity of the refrigerant, and different modes with ice which benefits from the latent heat stored in the ice to produce energy savings, depending on the level of frost in the evaporator. For calculating the NTU rate, it uses the evaporator as a reference when it is dry at the beginning, and when the cooling system is in operation, it calculates the NTU rate with a variable frequency operating mode depending on the evaporator performance or level of ice and its comparison with the cited reference.

  • Patent number: 10421666
Abstract: Methods of controlling crystal polymorphism in organic-free synthesis of Na-Zeolites and the zeolite crystals formed using those methods are provided. The methods disclosed herein create certain types of zeolite crystals more efficiently than other previously known methods. The methods also create certain types of zeolite crystals in a form and concentration not previously disclosed. The methods disclosed herein generally comprise using solutions with varying ratios of silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), hydroxide (OH), and water. Some implementations of the invention disclosed include efficient methods of producing nearly pure cancrinite (CAN), methods of obtaining sodalite in solutions with a high Si/Al ratio, and a method of forming thin, platelet-like ANA crystals with a width of less than about 1 ?m and a length of at least about 3 ?m.

  • Patent number: 8752214
Abstract: An adjustable kneepad support that is a brace formed by a pair of elongated, flexible, overlapping thin beam members that are movable relative to each other for lengthwise adjustment. Flexing of the beam members allows operation of a flex-latch that can release a fixed position of the beam members to allow sliding of the members to a newly adjusted lengthwise position.

  • Publication number: 20110094001
Abstract: A kneepad with positioning support has an elongated, rigid, vertical brace extending from a shoe of the wearer up to the kneepad. The adjustable-height kneepad support has two overlapping, vertical braces that attach together at various, adjustable heights. The support is attached to a built-in padded kneepad by a pivoting (hinge) connection or to an existing kneepad with a hinged clamp. The support device prevents the kneepad from slipping down and is held in place with adjustable lower leg and knee straps. The need for over-tightening of the kneepad strap or straps is eliminated, while still allowing for full flexibility of movement and comfort for the user.
