  • Patent number: 11969593
Abstract: A system for electrical stimulation of the salivary glands for the treatment of dry mouth is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a headset with an electronic control module, placed on the back head, and a stimulating module, placed on the area to be stimulated. Both modules are connected by an elastic arm. The stimulating module provides one or more pairs of electrodes in contact with neuro-sensitive areas of a patient, and is anchored in the ear canal. The position of the electrodes is adjustable for optimized stimulation. The system may be operated by control bottoms that are part of the electronic control module or by a mobile device, such as a wireless remote control, a smartphone, or a tablet. A mobile device camera may be used for correcting the placement of the electrodes.

  • Patent number: 10087213
Abstract: The present invention includes methods, compositions, uses, and kits for purifying a protein of interest (POI) comprising contacting a first fusion protein comprising the POI fused to the C-terminus of an intein C-fragment with a second fusion protein comprising an intein N-fragment and a purification tag to form a complex between the first fusion protein and the second fusion protein, cleaving the POI from the intein C-fragment, wherein the protein is released from the complex; and isolating the POI; the present invention also includes fusion proteins and vector.

  • Patent number: 9841343
Abstract: A test tool and related method for testing a blowout preventer (BOP). The test tool includes a first sub, a first pipe adapted to be connected to, and disconnected from, the first sub, the first pipe including an external spline, a second sub adapted to be connected to, and disconnected from, the first sub, the second sub including an internal spline adapted to engage the external spline of the first pipe, and a second pipe adapted to be connected to the second sub. The test tool includes an operational configuration in which the internal spline of the second sub engages the external spline of the first pipe so that a torque is transferable from the second sub to the first pipe via at least the engagement between the internal spline and the external spline. One or more high pressure low torque (HPLT) connections are incorporated into the test tool.

  • Patent number: 8628045
Abstract: A high-lift device track 5 comprising a first track end 6 comprising attachment points for the high-lift device 4, two vertical flanges 16 connected by a horizontal web 17, a set of raceways 10,11,12 for guiding rollers 13 or glide pads, and a gear rack 7 installed between said flanges 16 over a first track segment 18. This first track segment 18 presents an inverted-U, or cross-section. However, between said first track segment 18 and a second track end 20 opposite to said first track end 6, the track 5 comprises a second track segment 21 presenting a depth d between the horizontal web 17 and lower edges 25 of the vertical flanges 16 which decreases towards said second track end 20, so that, at said second track end, the track presents an H cross-section. FIG. 4.
