  • Patent number: 6366477
Abstract: Resonant switched power converter in which the end of a resonant period coincides with the start of a conducting period of a first switching element, undesirable dead times being avoided during the operation of a self-excited synchronous rectifier. To achieve this, a first capacitor is added which has the characteristic that its capacitance is a function of the duty cycle of the first switching element. The variation in the value of the capacitance of the first capacitor is implemented by adding in parallel thereto a serial combination of a second capacitor and a second switching element. The value of the capacitance varies between a first value and a second value.

  • Patent number: 6229717
Abstract: A zero voltage switched power supply converter includes a series combination of a first winding and a first switching element. A second winding is connected to a second switching element and to a storage capacitor, and a series combination of a second storage capacitor and a third switching element is connected in parallel with said second switching element, so that when the second switching element becomes non-conducting, the third switching element continues in the conduction state, starting a first resonance period that concludes when the third switching element becomes non-conducting and starts a second free resonance period, and the switching is achieved at zero voltage.

  • Patent number: 6096967
Abstract: Electric energy conversion system (4) with heat recovery which converts a first voltage applied to input terminals (11, 12) from an energy supply network, to a second direct voltage which is applied to at least one electronic circuit (2), moreover comprising thermoelectric means (3), which transform the generated heat into electric energy during the normal operation of a first electronic device of the conversion system (4) and the electronic circuit (2), the thermoelectric means (3) generating at their output a third direct voltage, which is applied to the electronic circuit (2).

  • Patent number: 6084783
Abstract: Method for controlling the voltage at the main output of a low power switched power converter in which is generated a first signal (14), representative of the voltage at an auxiliary output which is an image of the main output voltage; it is combined with a second signal (16), representative of an input current to the converter, for generating a first control signal which together with a first reference signal are applied to a first controller means, generating a second control signal. The second control signal together with a second signal coming from an oscillator means are applied to a comparator, generating a switching signal (17) for opening and closing the switching element (6), and consequently the voltage at the main output is regulated.
