  • Patent number: 11001087
Abstract: A method of depositing single particles onto a target includes loading a particle suspension to a droplet dispenser having a suspension reservoir and a nozzle section, detecting particles in the nozzle section, testing a single particle condition of the droplet dispenser, and determining whether an ejection region of the nozzle section includes one single particle. The method further includes operating the droplet dispenser for dispensing a droplet such that the droplet is dispensed onto the target if the single particle condition is fulfilled, or the droplet is dispensed into a collection reservoir if the single particle condition is not fulfilled. The step of testing the single particle condition further includes determining whether a sedimentation region adjacent to the ejection region is free of particles. A dispenser for performing the method is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10982400
Abstract: The present invention is a new process for preserving the water of an aquatic body as a supplying source for different human activities such as recreation and amusement, food and ornamentation, by the development of a aquatic space formed by a Open water Lake, a Spa Lake, and a Water Depuration Lake that preserves the water mass by biotransformation and mineralization that allow reducing the concentration of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorous, generating clean and transparent water without the use of large amounts of chemicals and complex filtrate systems.

  • Publication number: 20210108324
Abstract: Silver-nickel alloy electroplating compositions and methods enable electroplating silver rich silver-nickel deposits which are bright, uniform and have a relatively low coefficient of friction. The binary silver-nickel alloy is deposited from an aqueous acid silver-nickel alloy electroplating composition. The aqueous acid silver-nickel alloy electroplating composition includes thiol compounds which shift the reduction potential of silver ions toward the reduction potential of nickel ions such that a silver rich binary silver-nickel layer is deposited on a substrate.

  • Publication number: 20210067744
Abstract: System that allows devices of an autonomous store, such as sensors in product display areas, to receive power and communicate data over conductive rails of store fixtures. By using fixtures to transmit data and power, the need for cabling to these devices, or for batteries to power the devices, is eliminated or greatly reduced, thereby dramatically simplifying installation and maintenance. Illustrative fixtures over which devices can communicate include slatwalls, pegboards, and rectangular support bars. Power and data may be multiplexed onto the same pair of conductive rails. Embodiments may use device hubs to coordinate communication with devices and to act as gateways between devices and centralized store servers. Devices may communicate their identities and locations to store servers to facilitate installation; for example, they may display their identities on electronic labels that are imaged by store cameras, so that the store server can learn the location of each device automatically.

  • Patent number: 10909694
Abstract: A sensor bar shelf monitor, for example that may be added to an existing shelving system to convert a store to autonomous operation. The sensor bar may contain distance sensor to detect shoppers reaching towards items on a shelf, and cameras to determine which items shoppers have taken. It may be installed into shelf supports such as gondola shelving uprights. The sensor bar may be located at the front edge of a shelf, and may monitor the shelf below. Placing the sensor bar along the front edge prevents damage to electronics from spills or shelf cleaning, and prevents heat from the sensor bar electronics from damaging items on the shelf. The sensor bar may have a local sensor bar processor that collects sensor data; images may be analyzed locally or transferred to more powerful store processors. A sensor bar may also have controllable lights and controllable electronic labels.

  • Publication number: 20200411067
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for dynamically generating a memory bitcell supply voltage rail from a logic supply voltage rail are disclosed. A circuit includes at least one or more comparators, control logic, and power stage circuitry. The circuit receives a logic supply voltage rail and compares the logic supply voltage rail to threshold voltage(s) using the comparator(s). Comparison signal(s) from the comparator(s) are coupled to the control logic. The control logic generates mode control signals based on the comparison signal(s) and based on a programmable dynamic range that is desired for a memory bitcell supply voltage rail. The mode control signals are provided to the power stage circuitry which generates the memory bitcell supply voltage rail from the logic supply voltage rail. A voltage level of the memory bitcell supply voltage rail can be above, below, or the same as the logic supply voltage rail.

  • Patent number: 10766253
Abstract: In example implementations, a fluid ejection system is provided. The fluid ejection system includes a plurality of fluid ejection devices, a sensor and a feedback system. The plurality of fluid ejection devices can distribute fluid onto a media. The sensor may analyze a line of an image formed by the fluid on the media. The feedback system can determine a respective amount of time delay for each one of the plurality of fluid ejection devices based on the line of the image on the media that is analyzed by the sensor. The respective amount of time delay is inserted into at least one sideband signal to provide a correct alignment of the fluid ejection devices when printing a subsequent line of the image on the media.

  • Publication number: 20200202177
Abstract: A system having a bar containing distance sensors, such as LIDARs, that may be installed behind a shelf in an automated store. Shelves may be divided into storage zones, such as bins or lanes, and a distance sensor may measure the item quantity in each zone. Quantity changes indicate that a shopper has taken or placed items in the zone. Quantity changes may trigger analysis of camera images of the shelf to identify the items taken or replaced. The distance sensor elements within the bar may be relocatable so they can be positioned correctly behind the corresponding storage zones. The bar may have mounting mechanisms on either side for attachment to shelving support structures. These mounting mechanisms may include security locks. The bar may rotate relative to the mounting mechanisms to provide access to the shelf from behind.
