Patent number: 8408834Abstract: A paint applicator is provided with a handle formed with a paint-entry passage, a first housing half connected to the handle, a second housing half jointed to the first housing half and formed with a plurality of paint exit holes, a non-permeable resilient body disposed on the second housing half and formed with a plurality of apertures, a permeable foamed body, and a brush layer. The apertures are closed in normal conditions and will be opened under pressure. Paint is accumulated in a paint chamber between the first and second housing halves, and then will flow out only when the paint pressure is greater than a deformation threshold value of the non-permeable resilient body. Furthermore, since the apertures are very small and can be evenly and densely distributed over the resilient body, paint will be evenly permeated to the permeable foamed body and the brush layer.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2012Date of Patent: April 2, 2013Inventor: Miguel Wang

Publication number: 20100104353Abstract: A paint applicator includes a hollow handle defining a paint-entry passage, and a housing connected to the handle and having a first wall, and a second wall cooperating with the first wall to define a paint chamber that communicates fluidly with the paint-entry passage. The second wall has a plurality of first paint exit holes communicating fluidly with the paint chamber. A non-permeable resilient body covers the second wall, and includes a plurality of second paint exit holes aligned respectively with the first paint exit holes. A permeable foamed body covers the non-permeable resilient body. A brush layer is attached to the permeable foamed body, and is composed of a plurality of bristles.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 2, 2009Publication date: April 29, 2010Inventor: Miguel WANG

Publication number: 20080005858Abstract: A paint applicator includes an applying unit and a joining unit. The applying unit includes a flat casing, an applying plate covering the flat casing and cooperating with the flat casing to define a receiving space, and at least one roller mounted on the flat casing externally of and at one side of the receiving space. The applying plate has a plurality of paint outlet holes spaced apart from each other. The roller projects outward from the flat casing and is rotatable about a first axis transverse to the applying plate. The joining unit includes a joining member connected pivotally to the flat casing, and opposite to the applying plate and rotatable around a second axis parallel to the first axis. The joining member includes an output passage communicated fluidly with the receiving space of the applying unit and adapted to supply paint material to the receiving space.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2007Publication date: January 10, 2008Inventor: Miguel Wang

Publication number: 20070243009Abstract: A paint applicator includes a handle, a paint applying member, a lever, a container, a pump, and first and second tubing sections. The pump includes a chamber mounted on the handle, and a pumping assembly slidably mounted inside the chamber and actuated by an actuating section of the lever. The first tubing section interconnects a connecting hole of the handle and the pump. The second tubing section interconnects the container and the chamber. The lever is operable to actuate the pump to pump paint from the container to the paint applying member through the second tubing section, the chamber, the first tubing section, and the handle.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2006Publication date: October 18, 2007Inventor: Miguel Wang
