    Abstract: Disclosed is, among other things, techniques to allow optimal use of various cloud service providers. In one embodiment, this is done by providing an intermediate level service, a Cloud Abstractor, exposing an API that translates to the various provider cloud APIs. An application may call an API on the Cloud Abstractor, and the Cloud Abstractor will make calls to one or more clouds to perform the requested behavior.
