  • Patent number: 9762856
Abstract: A video conferencing server (100) receives and combines video streams captured by cameras of plural video clients (101) and generates immersive video streams (124, 125) for delivery to and play-out by these video clients (101). A cut-out module (102) in the video conferencing server (100) generates a foreground mask (122) for a video frame (121) received from a conferencing client (101). A camera shake detector (103) determines a displacement vector (123) for a subset of features in the video frame (121). The displacement vector (123) represents a two-dimensional motion of the subset of features between a background mask and a previous background mask for a previous video frame received from the same conferencing client (101).

  • Patent number: 9402053
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for control of a video interface (4) associated to a user (12) for use in conference situations and the like, comprising the steps of capturing a frame (11) of a video stream originated from the user (12), recognizing a face (10) of the user (12) within the video frame (11), detecting an orientation of the face (10) of the user (12) within the video frame (11), and providing a control signal indicating the orientation of the face (10). The invention also relates to a method for operation of the video interface (4) comprising the steps of the above control method, mapping the orientation of the face (10) based on the control signal to a focus area (15) of the video interface (4), and highlighting the focus area (15). The invention further relates to a face orientation detector (6) and a video conferencing server (5), which are adapted to perform the above methods.

  • Patent number: 9348422
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for recognizing gestures within a two-dimensional video stream for use in conference situations and the like, comprising the step of performing a skin-recognition within a screen of the video stream for recognizing skin parts, identifying at least one body part within the recognized skin parts, monitoring a state of at least one predefined screen area in respect to the at least one body part, and providing a control signal indicating a detected gesture upon detection of a change of state. The present invention further relates to a gesture detector adapted to perform the above method, a presentation system comprising the above gesture detector and a video camera device comprising a video camera and the above gesture detector.

  • Publication number: 20140321319
Abstract: According to one embodiment, provider edge routers may be queried and required information for deploying a missing VPLS service on a target router may be obtained. This allows a Local Area Network (LAN) to Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) to stitch in an automated manner without an operator of the cloud management system requiring knowledge of the types of VPLS services involved in the stitching process.
