Publication number: 20240430507Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a local server coupled to a plurality of client devices. The local server may receive encrypted content from one or more content sources and provide the content to the client devices. The local server and client devices may be part of a multi-client environment such as a hotel or conference center. The local server does not decrypt and re-encrypt content, thereby allowing the use of low cost equipment. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2024Publication date: December 26, 2024Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Xin Wang, Richard Tatem, Reza Pezeshki, Joseph Z. Publication number: 20240362271Abstract: Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods are disclosed. An example system includes programmable circuitry; a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed or instantiated by the programmable circuitry, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: forming a data structure representing a request to a content provider for a media stream; modifying the data structure to represent a request to a local manager for the media stream, the modified request data structure including an address corresponding to the local manager; transmitting a request to the local manager as a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) request, the request based on the modified data structure; and receiving a response from the local manager as a user datagram protocol (UDP) stream.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2023Publication date: October 31, 2024Inventors: Reza Pezeshki, Richard Tatem, Horia-Mihai Popa, Matei Dediu, Wassim Daccache

Publication number: 20240338294Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may provide an integrated system for assessing application fitness. The integrated system may provide a complete and accurate picture of the fitness of all or a portion of the applications used by an organization. The integrated system may ingest information about the applications from multiple sources and may assess the fitness of the application in multiple aspects. Metric scores for the fitness of each application may be generated and displayed on a user interface, such as on dashboards. The metric scores may reflect various aspects of the fitness of the applications. For example, in some exemplary embodiments, the metric scores may reflect software development life cycle (SDLC) standards, non-functional requirements (NFR) standards, and/or application stability standards. In addition, the exemplary embodiments may determine an overall fitness metric score for each of the applications. Visualizations of the metrics may be displayed on user interfaces, such as on the dashboards.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2023Publication date: October 10, 2024Inventors: Ravindra Pundlik Padma, Baljit Chudha, Mihai Popa

Patent number: 12034790Abstract: Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods are disclosed. An example method includes receiving a first hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) communication, the first HTTP communication including a first request for a media segment from a first client device; transmitting metadata in a second HTTP communication to the first client device, the metadata corresponding to the media segment; transmitting a datagram using User Datagram Protocol (UDP), the datagram transmitted to the first client device and a second client device, the first client device and the second client device causing presentation of a same media stream; receiving a third HTTP communication after the transmissions, the third HTTP communication including a second request for the media segment, the third HTTP communication from the second client device; and transmitting, by executing an instruction with a processor, the metadata in a fourth HTTP communication to the second client device.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2023Date of Patent: July 9, 2024Assignee: DIRECTV, LLCInventors: Reza Pezeshki, Richard Tatem, Horia-Mihai Popa, Wassim Daccache

Publication number: 20230034793Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining media content from a media content server located outside a customer premises, in response to receiving a first request for the media content from a first media processor of a group of media processors. Further embodiments can include receiving a first plurality of requests for the media content from a first portion of the group of media processors within a first time period over the second communication network, and multicasting the media content to each of the first media processor and the first portion of the group of media processors over the second communication network. Each of the first media processor and the first portion of the group of media processors presents the media content to a respective display. Other embodiments are disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 29, 2021Publication date: February 2, 2023Applicant: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Reza Pezeshki, Horia-Mihai Popa, Brian Moore, Bogdan Livadariu, Richard Tatem

Patent number: 4331139Abstract: An emergency breathing apparatus allows a human user to breathe safely within a structure whose interior is devoid of sufficient breathable air as a result of fire, etc. The apparatus communicates with the soil or waste vent in the structure and includes an air collector disposed for access by the human user within the structure. The air collector allows air to flow from the soil vent into the structure. A breathing mask with an internal diaphragm is coupled to the air collector and allows the user to inhale the air within the air collector and exhale air into the environment. A control valve is disposed between the air collector and the breathing mask and enables air to flow from the air collector into the breathing mask. Accordingly, when the interior environment of the structure is devoid of sufficient breathable air, the human user, may, via the control valve, enable air to flow from the soil vent to the breathing mask and thereafter breathe that air for survival.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 1981Date of Patent: May 25, 1982Inventor: Mihai Popa
