Abstract: Aspects concern a method for identifying a list of nearest vehicles including receiving a ride request comprising a request position; obtaining vehicle information of a plurality of vehicles, wherein the vehicle information comprises a vehicle position; translating the vehicle position information of each of the plurality of vehicles to positions on an edge based graph, wherein the edge based graph represents a road system; and determining a driving distance between at least one of the vehicle positions of the plurality of vehicles and the request position, wherein the driving distance comprises a distance the at least one vehicle travels along the road system to reach the request position.

Abstract: A method of suggesting replacements for unavailable web pages is performed at a server system separate from a client system. A web page is identified. For documents in a collection of web pages, respective overlaps of content in the web page and the documents are determined based on stored information about content in the web page and the documents. One or more of the documents that have overlaps that satisfy a first criterion are selected. A request for a replacement for the web page is received from the client system and replacement web page information is provided to the client system. The replacement web page information is selected from the set consisting of A) one or more links to the one or more selected documents, B) a redirect to one of the one or more selected documents, and C) one of the one or more selected documents.

Abstract: A client computer having one or more processors and memory, while displaying a browser application having a displayed address field, receives a user-identified document link. The client computer submits the user-identified document link to a server remotely located from the client computer. In response to a determination that the user-identified document link is inoperative, the client computer displays a plurality of distinct user-editable query terms in a search box distinct from the displayed address field of the browser application. At least one of the user-editable query terms is different from the user-identified document link, and is selected from a group including text extracted from the user-identified document link, and a term based on text extracted from the user-identified document link.

The server computer extracts one or more query terms from the user-identified document link. At least one of the query terms is different from the user-identified document link. The server computer searches a set of operative document links for one or more candidate document links in accordance with the user-identified document link. The server computer queries a cached document server for a document link to a cached copy of a document corresponding to the user-identified document link. The server computer returns at least one of the extracted query terms, the candidate document links, and the document link to the cached copy to the client computer.
