Patent number: 11858306Abstract: A stabilizer bar has a first connected position and a second disconnected position. One side-bar is fixed to a housing while the other side-bar is fixed to a tulip within the housing. The housing has a plurality of axial grooves. The tulip defines a plurality of slots which are aligned with the grooves when the vehicle is level. A nut has a plurality of pins that extend radially such that the nut is torsionally coupled to the housing. In a first connected position, the pins fit within the slots of the tulip to torsionally couple the nut and the housing to the tulip. To facilitate a second disconnected position, a motor driven actuator moves the nut axially such that the pins no longer engage the slots. When motor power is withdrawn, a spring pushes the nut back to the first connected position.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2022Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. Patent number: 5509370Abstract: A lightweight vehicle which is operational on water, mud, marshy areas and other ground surfaces which includes a raised main frame upon which controls are provided for independently rotating at least one pair of drive drums which are mounted on opposite sides of the main frame. The drive drums are of a hollow cylindrical configuration and of a size to provide sufficient buoyancy to allow the vehicle to float on water. Each drive drum is provided with a spiral flute for developing propulsion and is driven by one or more hydraulic motors mounted axially with respect to the drum. Cutter bars are mounted to the frame and extend toward the ends of the drums to prevent debris interference with the drive shafts or bearings on which the drums are mounted.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1993Date of Patent: April 23, 1996Assignee: Kempco, Inc.Inventors: Peter Kovacs, Mihaly Kovacs, Endro Kovacs
