  • Patent number: 8923994
Abstract: A method for controlling the configuration, such as access and/or one or more other features, of an application in an electronic device from the standpoint of a particular user, comprising obtaining an indication of the identity of the user determined based on sensor data associated with physical activity by the user, obtaining an indication of the physical activity identified based on the sensor data, and modifying or at least providing information enabling to modify the identified user's configuration of an application logic based on the identified activity and optionally other activity information derived utilizing the sensor data. Related mobile device, electronic arrangement and system are presented.

  • Patent number: 8768447
Abstract: The invention relates to processing of physiological signal data in patient monitoring. In order to alleviate the problems caused by suppression waveforms in the analysis of physiological signal data, measurement data is derived from a segment of the time series of physiological signal data and valid measurement data is collected from the derived measurement data, thereby to form a set of valid measurement data. The collecting includes selecting measurement data that fulfills at least one predetermined threshold condition. Furthermore, at least a portion of the set of valid measurement data is supplied to a further processing stage when the amount of collected measurement data in the set is at least at a predetermined level. The deriving and collecting may be repeated for consecutive segments of the time series, in which case the supplying is performed for at least some of the consecutive segments of the time series.

  • Publication number: 20100077020
Abstract: An apparatus for providing intelligent updates of emission values may include a processor. The processor may be configured to send a user context to request updated emission values associated with the user context. The processor may be further configured to receive the requested emission values associated with the user context and update current emission values with the received emission values. The processor may be additionally configured to provide for an output of the updated emission values. Associated methods and computer program products may also be provided.
