    Abstract: A method and system for delivering data packets from a network node to a mobile node, wherein a unidirectional interface to the mobile node is detected and a binding update indicating a care-of-address being an address of said detected unidirectional interface is transmitted to the network node. In response to this binding update request, data packets are delivered via the unidirectional interface. Thus, the performance of communication can be increased considerably by using a high bandwidth unidirectional broadcast network to deliver downlink data.
