Abstract: A system and method for the management of telecommunication system subscriber data in conjunction with at least two duplex telecommunication networks handling separate subscriber data. The inventive system includes means for linking the system, in a transparent manner with respect to telecommunication network architecture, to telecommunication network elements handling subscriber data, means for storing the subscriber data of different telecommunication networks in the same logical database, and means for exchanging subscriber data between the telecommunication network elements handling subscriber data and/or the subscriber database. The system may for example be used to implement a subscriber accessibility service between and operable across different networks.

Abstract: Procedure and system for optimizing the route of a telecommunication connection to be set up in a telecommunication system that includes a mobile switching center (MSC), a service switching point (SSP), a service control point (SCP), a gateway (GW), and a subscriber register (HLR). The service switching point is connected to the service control point and the gateway is connected to the service control point and to the subscriber register. The telecommunication connection to be set up is directed via the service switching point to the service control point. A database query is sent from the service control point, via the gateway, to the subscriber register. In response, the subscriber register returns routing information, on the basis of which an optimal route to the mobile switching center under which the B-subscriber is currently located is determined.

Abstract: In the inventive procedure for implementing event-based billing in conjunction with services provided for consumers via a telephone connection in a telecommunication system, a connection is set up between a consumer's terminal device and an intelligent peripheral, a service is selected in the peripheral by means of the terminal device, an assessment request based on the selected service is sent from the peripheral to a service control point and, based on the assessment requests sent by the peripheral, an event-based bill for the customer is produced.
