  • Patent number: 7436236
Abstract: Arrangement for analog compensation of a DC component in an AC signal having an estimator for producing an estimate corresponding to the DC component, a compensator for producing a present compensating signal according to the estimate, an adder for adding the present compensating signal to the AC signal, and a comparator for continuously comparing the present estimate with the present compensating signal. If the difference between the present estimate and the present compensating signal lies outside of a predefined interval, then the comparator triggers the compensator to produce an updated compensating signal according to the present estimate, and to switch from the present compensating signal to the updated compensating signal, and the adder adds the updated compensating signal to the AC signal. If the difference lies within the predefined interval, then the compensator continues to produce the present compensating signal, and the adder adds the present compensating signal to the AC signal.

  • Patent number: 7436249
Abstract: A circuit for filtering a radio frequency signal at a given frequency comprises an input terminal, a filter device, and an active AC shunt circuit having first and second input terminals and an output terminal, where the first input terminal of the active AC shunt circuit is connected to the input terminal. The filter device is connected between the input terminal and the second input terminal of the active AC shunt circuit, and is provided for attenuating the radio frequency signal at the given frequency to the second input terminal of the active AC shunt circuit. The active AC shunt circuit is provided for shunting a signal at a frequency other than the given frequency as contained in the radio frequency signal to ground, and for outputting the radio frequency signal as filtered at its output terminal.

  • Patent number: 7434143
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for detecting a collision in a communication network, such as a WLAN, on which data are sent in frames of variable lengths separated by inter-frame spaces, each frame including a header and a data payload field where the header includes information of the length of the frame, is provided. The method comprises the steps of estimating a noise level (41; 41-42) of a frame, the header of which being read by a receiver, preferably using constellation error measurement, comparing the estimated noise level with a reference noise level value, and detecting a collision with another weaker frame depending on the outcome of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7231215
Abstract: In a packet-based communication network a central control unit indicates its presence on the first channel by in addition to data traffic transmits regular beacons with a specified time interval, and upon detecting radar signals on a first channel the central control unit transmits a channel switch message and immediately switches to a second channel and resumes data traffic on that second channel, thereafter repeatedly transmitting a channel switch message on the first channel and a beacon on the second channel by switching back to the first channel to transmit second channel switch messages (either contained in beacons or separately) and switching back to the second channel to transmit regular beacons for each permissible beacon transmission time slot, until as many devices as possible associated with the central control unit has followed to the second channel.
