  • Patent number: 7593710
Abstract: A method of controlling amplification of a signal emitted by a radiocommunication terminal including a power amplifier and a power supply battery includes the steps of detecting the output power of the amplifier and converting the output power into a detected voltage, comparing the detected voltage with a set point voltage, and adapting the input power of the power amplifier as a result of the comparison. The detected voltage and/or the set point voltage is rendered dependent on the voltage of the power supply battery during the step of detecting and converting the output power of the amplifier.

  • Patent number: 6791406
Abstract: The present invention relates to a power servo-loop in particular for controlling a power amplifier, the loop comprising a detection circuit (100) having coupling means (1) for taking off RF signals, and a detection unit (400) for delivering a detection signal (Vdet) partially representative of a first RF signal taken off by the coupling means. The detection circuit of the invention comprises, between the coupling means and the detection unit, detection control means (21, 22, 4) for substantially eliminating an “interfering” second RF signal also taken off by the coupling means, such that the detection signal is entirely representative of the first RF signal.

Date of Patent: September 14, 2004
    Assignee: Alcatel

  • Patent number: 6603350
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for transmitting radiofrequency signals using a power amplifier. The power amplifier is connected to a power regulation loop for regulating its gain in such a manner as to bring the output power level to a desired nominal level. The regulation loop acts on the bias voltage as a function of the output from the power amplifier. According to the invention, the device further comprises adjustment means such as an integrating RC circuit for supplying an additional voltage to the regulation loop in such a manner that the input signal to the loop is more responsive and less dependent on the active components of the power amplifier. The invention is particularly applicable in the field of mobile transmission.

  • Publication number: 20030108004
Abstract: In a method of transmitting, between a mobile terminal and a base station in a mobile radio network, data bursts comprising a header and a tail respectively associated with the rising and falling transitions of the burst, each burst being situated in a slot centered on a send/receive frequency, the header and the tail of a burst are made up of sequences of bits with different values so that the frequency spectrum associated with the transitions is centered on the send/receive frequency.
