  • Publication number: 20220013127
Abstract: System for transcription of audio captured during in-person and/or remote (video-conferencing) events using speech to text (STT) technology. Each participant is associated with unique audio capturing device (microphone for in-person event; device utilized to partake in event (e.g., phone, computer) for remote event). Separate audio stream is captured for each participant and parameters about the participants are defined. Audio streams are synchronized with respect to each other for event. Bleeding of microphones is addressed by comparing equalized signal strengths and muting speech for microphones not having strongest signal strength. Synchronized audio streams are provided to STT engine that provides corresponding text back. Text is identified with stream it came from and time within event it occurred. System displays text in order based on event time and provides identification information and ability to edit/annotate. Operator edits/annotates translated text as required.

  • Publication number: 20210280193
Abstract: An electronic system for transcription of audio captured during an event using a plurality of microphones, one for each person possibly speaking during the event. A frequency for each microphone in an environment is determined prior to use. During the event audio is received from each microphone. A signal strength of the audio captured by each microphone is captured and utilized along with the frequency for each microphone to determine which microphone is associated with the person speaking. Record audio from microphone determined to be associated with the person speaking and ignore audio from other microphones. Provide recorded audio to a voice to text engine and receive corresponding text from the voice to text engine and present the text to an operator who can modify in real time or after the event. The corresponding text includes confidence levels association with the translation identifies the person speaking in some fashion.

  • Publication number: 20170052701
Abstract: A method for receiving input, by a virtual reality system includes creating a three-dimensional (3D) mesh for a virtual space. The 3D mesh includes a virtual keyboard, where the keyboard object comprises a plurality of virtual keys, a collision object corresponding to each of the plurality of virtual keys, and a cursor. The virtual reality system displays the 3D mesh on a head-mounted display (HMD), receives user input for moving a location of the cursor in the virtual space, and receives user input for selecting the collision object of one of the plurality of virtual keys based on the location of the cursor.
