  • Publication number: 20220132794
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or apparatuses are disclosed to provide for the reflection of electromagnetic waves from an infrared heater in an enclosed structure. The infrared heater is placed off-center in the enclosed structure and an asymmetrical reflector disproportionally reflects the electromagnetic waves to the far side of the enclosed structure to evenly heat the enclosed structure. The infrared heater and asymmetrical reflector can be used to evenly heat poultry within the enclosed structure to promote uniform eating and conversion of food to muscle mass.

  • Publication number: 20160076324
Abstract: An anchor ring assembly for anchoring to a mandrel includes an annular housing which defines a through bore to permit mounting on a mandrel. A plurality of slips are circumferentially arranged within the through bore of the housing, and a plurality of activator members extend from an external surface of the housing to engage the slips. The activator members are adjustable relative to the housing to extend the slips radially inwardly to engage and grip a mandrel.

  • Patent number: 9184841
Abstract: An optical communication system, a transmitter, a receiver, and methods of operating the same are provided. In particular, a transmitter is disclosed as being configured to encode optical signals in accordance with a multi-level coding scheme. The receiver is configured to provide skew correction to the optical signals received from the transmitter by dividing a received signal into separate level-specific components and sampling each of the components with distinct sampling blocks.

  • Publication number: 20150267497
Abstract: A sealing apparatus (10) for use in establishing a seal in an annulus (12) between a mandrel (18) and a bore wall (14) has an annular seal element (20) initially activateable between a first, retracted, configuration and a second, expanded, configuration. The seal element (20) is disposed around a mandrel (18) and is free to move relative the mandrel (18) such that when the seal element (20) defines the second, expanded, configuration, pressurised fluid from the annulus (12) urges the seal element (20) into sealing or enhanced sealing engagement with the bore wall (14).

  • Patent number: 7839587
Abstract: A color wheel has one or a plurality of color filter segments made from a first material, typically glass, having a coefficient of thermal expansion that is substantially different from a carrier, which is made from a second material, typically aluminum. An intermediate washer or coating is disposed in between the segment(s) and the carrier, and has a coefficient of thermal expansion either equal to the segment(s) or in between that of the segment(s) and the carrier. The segment(s) is/are adhered to the washer or coating via a rigid or strong adhesive capable to withstand the strong centrifugal forces associated with rotating the color wheel and the filter segments at high speed.
