  • Publication number: 20120303749
Abstract: A system for maintaining a domain in a premises, wherein the domain is coupled with a remote server, is disclosed. The system includes an instruction receiver; a secure connection establisher for establishing a secure connection between the local and remote server; a data exchange module for exchanging device configuration information between the local and the remote server; and an updating module for updating an application and device configuration information. The instruction receiver receives a set of instructions relating to managing the domain, wherein the set of instructions comprises a complete set of instructions associated with said managing a configuration of the domain such that the domain functions according to the complete set of instructions without any further communication necessary between the remote server with the local server until a change in the domain occurs, wherein the change requires an update to the remote server and components coupled therewith.

  • Patent number: 7337607
Abstract: A system or method for controlling the delivery of fuel into the transient flow of an exhaust system to control emissions. A mathematical model representative of the exhaust system can be used to determine, based on operating conditions of the exhaust system, a rate of fuel delivery suitable for achieving a desired result. The desired result can be to increase the temperature of a diesel particulate filter to a temperature suitable for regeneration without exceeding a temperature that may damage the diesel particulate filter.

  • Publication number: 20060101810
Abstract: A system is disclosed for dispensing fuel into the transient flow of an exhaust system to control exhaust emissions. A controller initiates the delivery of fuel into the exhaust when an emissions control device, such as a diesel particulate filter, requires increased exhaust temperatures for regeneration. In operation, pressurized fuel and pressurized air are supplied to a fuel delivery device, wherein a fuel injector pre-mixes fuel with air. The fuel-air mixture is then dispensed into the exhaust flow through a nozzle, causing a rapid pressure drop in the mixture that results in the pressurized air expanding rapidly, breaking the fuel spray into fine particles.

  • Publication number: 20020182043
Abstract: A refuse collection vehicle has a chassis, an hydraulic fluid reservoir mounted on the chassis, and a body tiltably supported upon the chassis. The body has two opposed side walls along the interior of which rails extend. A bifurcated partition has an upper part suspended from the rails and a lower part tiltably suspended from the upper part. A tilt cylinder is mounted on the partition upper part and operatively linked with the partition lower part. Means are provided for moving the partition along the rails within said body. An extend trombone hydraulic line provides fluid communication between one end of the tilt cylinder and the chassis mounted hydraulic reservoir and a retract trombone hydraulic line provides fluid communication between an opposite end of the tilt cylinder and the hydraulic reservoir. So constructed, the relative sizes of the forward and rear portion of the vehicle body may be altered and refuse separately discharged therefrom on an automated basis.

  • Publication number: 20020175517
Abstract: A manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) label printed on transparent material, such that the text may be read, but the background is relatively clear. Once applied to a car window, the relatively clear background on the label allows a driver to see through a majority of the label and drive more safely.
