  • Publication number: 20170341193
Abstract: A n operator-friendly dead-length workholding collet and chuck docking station comprises a core body, a collet and chuck, or plurality of collets and chucks, a quick-set. failsafe actuation mechanism, a coolant bleed channel or plurality of coolant bleed channels, and workholding coordinate system axes markers. The docking station contains pro visions for vertical or horizontal mounting in milling machines or machine centers and accepts standard and emergency collets wherein workpieces may be inserted, held in place, and machined.

  • Patent number: 8234776
Abstract: A method for making and magnetizing an un-magnetized mechanically keyed permanent magnet rotor that can be magnetized in a magnetization fixture, without regard to the angular position of the rotor in the magnetizing fixture, and nevertheless result in a permanent magnetic field angularly synchronized to said keyed rotor comprises the steps of providing an annular permanent magnet or annular permanent magnet rotor body; a mechanically keyed rotor shaft; means for aligning and assembling the un-magnetized permanent magnet or permanent magnet rotor body and the mechanically keyed rotor shaft during assembly to form an assembled rotor; and magnetization thereof.

  • Publication number: 20120017426
Abstract: An un-magnetized permanent magnet rotor that can be magnetized without regard to the angular position of the rotor in the magnetizing fixture and will have the resulting permanent magnetic field synchronized to a mechanically keyed shaft comprises an annular permanent magnet or annular permanent magnet rotor body; a mechanically keyed rotor shaft; and means for aligning the un-magnetized permanent magnet or permanent magnet rotor body and the mechanically keyed rotor shaft during assembly. The rotor shaft contains means for aligning to the magnet or magnet rotor body, which, in turn contains means for coupling to the alignment means of the keyed shaft. The permanent magnet or magnet rotor body and rotor shaft are permanently assembled and then magnetized.
