    Abstract: In one exemplar embodiment, a load restraining apparatus for cargo vehicles having a generally rectangular load space defined by side walls and a flat bed is provided having a pair of elongated slotted-rail assemblies each of which includes an inner longitudinal channel adjacent to and communicating with the longitudinal slot in the rails which are mounted in a spaced-apart parallel relationship the longitudinal length of the flat bed of the vehicle.
