Publication number: 20170346896Abstract: An apparatus and method for synchronized content display across a plurality of devices are disclosed herein. Content specified at a first device is deployed to the rest of the plurality of devices that are of diverse device types to each other. The first device instructs the other devices to render the content at each of the respective devices according to the respective device's content viewer and configuration. The first device also instructs the other devices to achieve a certain setting or state pertaining to true rendering of the content depending on the type of content to be rendered.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2017Publication date: November 30, 2017Inventors: Mike Harris, Mark Rausch, Duane O'Brien, Charles C. Scheinost, Amit Kishnani, Bruce Bowman, Matthew Hamlin, Tom Juhasz, Matthew Johnson, Christian Cantrell

Patent number: 9581044Abstract: To solve both axial and rotational constraint problems in turbochargers with rolling element bearings (REBs), a REB sleeve or outer race is mounted to the bearing housing in a way that is not axially and radially rigid, thus allowing for oil damping films both radially and axially. At the same time, the REB sleeve or outer race is held so that the REB sleeve or outer race does not rotate relative to the bearing housing. This dual purpose is achieved using an anti-rotation ring and a damping ring. The anti-rotation ring includes at least one anti-rotation feature for engaging the bearing housing and at least one anti-rotation feature for engaging the REB cartridge, preventing rotation of the REB cartridge sleeve or outer race. The damping ring axially locates the REB cartridge and dampens axial movement and cushions axial thrust.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2011Date of Patent: February 28, 2017Assignee: BorgWarner Inc.Inventors: Timothy House, Paul Diemer, Michael Bucking, Mike Harris, Augustine Cavagnaro

Patent number: 9411782Abstract: Elements of the geometry of the image of a webpage as rendered on at least one target browser are compared with elements of a baseline geometry of the webpage to determine the differences between elements of the baseline geometry of the webpage and elements of the respective geometries of the image of the webpage as rendered on the at least one target browser. The elements of the image may be determined by a software tool for determining elements of a document geometry, such as a DOM geometry service. Code such as JavaScript may be injected into the webpage for use in determining the elements of the geometry of the image of the webpage. A list of issues that web developers face may be generated and the above differences between respective elements may allow arriving at a solution for at least some of the issues in order to provide testing of webpage information in real time.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2012Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: Adobe Systems IncorporatedInventors: Mike Harris, Charles C. Scheinost, Tom Juhasz, Matthew Hamlin, Amit Kishnani, Bruce Bowman, Joshua Hatwich

Patent number: 9021114Abstract: In one embodiment, a method of connecting to a client computing device is provided. The method is performed at a computing device, and in this method a connection is made to the client computing device. An inventory of the client computing device is then accessed. This inventory is stored in a storage device accessible by way of a computer network. Here, the storage device is separate from the client computing device and the computing device. A connection failure between the computing device and the client computing device is detected and thereafter, the inventory from the storage device is retrieved by way of the computer network. A reconnection to the client computing device can then be made based on the retrieved inventory.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2012Date of Patent: April 28, 2015Assignee: Adobe Systems IncorporatedInventors: Mike Harris, Charles C. Patent number: 7318151Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for firmware management. A clipped copy of the firmware associated with a device may be built within the boot image of an appliance. Alternatively, mathematical signatures of the firmware associated with a device may be stored in the boot image of an appliance. Advantageously, use of clipped copies of firmware and mathematical signatures of firmware within the boot image may preserve boot image space while maintaining the integrity of the boot procedure of the appliance. Additionally, a method and system of mitigating firmware corruption is provided by flashing a boot block portion of device firmware only when an update is necessary.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2004Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: Network Appliance, Inc.Inventor: Mike Harris

Patent number: 6655576Abstract: Brazed structures comprising hollow components having a closure component bonded thereto by a metallic brazing alloy for closing off an end of the hollow component are disassembled by locating a wire transport material in the hollow component and covering the open face of the hollow component with a wire fiber material. Heat is then applied to liquefy the brazing alloy which is drawn up into the metal wire fiber material by capillary affect created by the wire transport material.Type: GrantFiled: March 26, 2002Date of Patent: December 2, 2003Assignee: United Technologies CorporationInventors: Daniel Gold, Gary Dudek, Loretta Lietzan, James Moor, Will Glesener, Mike Harris
