    Abstract: There is provided a reinforced tracheostomy tube. Various mechanisms may be used to reinforce the tube, which is reinforced on the upper portion which extends as much as two thirds of the distance from the flange near the proximal end to the distal tip. The tube extends at an angle of from 85 to 120 degrees from the flange to the distal tip and has a length between about 70 and 100 mm.
