  • Publication number: 20240130830
Abstract: Portable surgical systems for regulating intra-operative environments over surgical sites are disclosed. The surgical systems include a flexible surgical enclosure configured to be attached to the surgical site of a patient. The enclosure enables operators to perform surgery on the surgical site from inside the enclosure. The enclosure may further include a patient-limb-port configured to enable the patient to insert an arm or a leg into the enclosure so that a limb-surgical-site is disposed inside the enclosure. The surgical system may further include an active environment control unit with one or multiple sensors. The surgical system prevents outer environment contaminants from reaching the surgical site while providing a barrier protecting operators from exposure to blood generated during the surgery. The portable surgical system is used to perform surgery in environments other than operating rooms, such as outdoors, in tents, in cottages, and non-sterile rooms.

  • Patent number: 9692652
Abstract: A framework for reliably communicating port information in a system of devices is provided. In one embodiment, each device in the system of devices can create a first record that includes port information pertaining to a plurality of ports of the device, where the plurality of ports are usable for communicatively coupling the device to other devices in the system of devices. The device can further receive, from the other devices in the system of devices, one or more second records including port information pertaining to the ports of the other devices, and can store the first record and the one or more second records in a data store maintained locally on the device. The device can then forward copies of the first record and the one or more second records out of each of the plurality of ports, thereby causing the copies of the first record and the one or more second records to be communicated to the other devices in the system of devices.

  • Patent number: 8985527
Abstract: A bracket supports the weight of stand-off standard-width rack-mount equipment and can collapse flat for storage or shipping. An embodiment comprises a back member along the bracket's mounting plane and two stand-off arms each having portions extending along the plane and extending normal to it. Each arm moveably attaches to permit positioning the arm when the bracket is not installed so as to decrease the arm's normal dimension, and each arm comprises at least one anchor permitting attachment to a supporting structure. Another embodiment concerns a method of installing a bracket with a back member and moveably connected stand-off arms, comprising moving each arm in a manner that increases the arm's extension in a direction normal to the mounting plane, and attaching to at least one supporting structure each stand-off arm at at least one anchor.

  • Publication number: 20040066339
Abstract: A rectangular metal slice is cut into antenna sheet material. The antenna sheet material is further folded up to form the antenna. The antenna sheet material includes a radiating plate, a feeding plate, and a ground plate. The length of the radiating plate is approximate quarter wavelength corresponding to the operating frequency. The main feature of the antenna, according to the invention, is that the feeding plate and the ground plate extend in the same direction, thereby reducing the scale of the antenna.

  • Patent number: 6668347
Abstract: An integrated circuit having a central built-in self-test unit (BIST) that uses internal scan chains for testing embedded memory modules. The embedded memory modules receive address and data signals from a set of input flip-flops configured to form a scan chain. The BIST is coupled to an input scan chain and includes a pattern generator to shift a test pattern into the input scan chain for testing the embedded memory modules. Output flip-flops capture data from the embedded memory modules are also configured as a scan chain. The BIST includes address control logic to bypass the normal addressing logic of the embedded memory module when the BIST operates is operating in a memory test mode.

  • Patent number: 5967910
Abstract: A "baseball hitting exerciser" serving as both a hitting exerciser and a home base plate, including a flexible post, a connecting tube, a fixing tube, an anti-dust cover and a bottom cover. On the bottom end of the fixing tube is a neck connected to a push block; the push block serves to push the anti-dust plate that is compressed by the springs inside the fixing hole, so the push block may be turned and accommodated inside the wing plate troughs in the fixing hole; then, the fixing tube is fixed inside the fixing hole. If the connecting tube is turned again, the bias force of the springs pushing on the anti-dust cover will push the push block away from the fixing hole; so the base plate is restored to the shape of a normal base plate; so the base runner can safely use the base.
