  • Patent number: 10607185
Abstract: A plant deliverable management system is presented. The system leverages plant construction agnostic templates to generate plant deliverables (e.g., training materials, inspections, reports, design drawings, etc.). The plant deliverables can be converted from common, a generic format to a format desired by a client paying for the plant construction. The system can also provision a computer system with a released version of plant deliverables where the deliverables are indexed according to a derived indexing scheme generated based on the templates and a client's desired formats or asset attributes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 15, 2010
Date of Patent: March 31, 2020
    Assignee: Fluor Technologies Corporation
Inventors: James S. Leitch, Bruno C. Storino, James B. Humphries, Dustin Bohard, Mike McGee
  • Patent number: 9970710
Abstract: Contemplated devices and methods reduce heat loss and energy demand of a carbon baking ring furnace by employing a preferably internal bypass conduit that feeds a portion of a heated cooling air stream from the cooling zone directly to the flue ducts of the firing and/or pre-heat zones.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 11, 2013
Date of Patent: May 15, 2018
    Assignee: Fluor Technologies Corporation
Inventors: Mike McGee, Tom Haines, Kenneth Meyer, Steve Hillock
  • Publication number: 20170151714
Abstract: A 3D printing apparatus, wherein the apparatus is configured to use a build material to form a peripheral wall in a plurality of layers, the combined plurality of layers having a first height, and to form an infill section within the peripheral wall, wherein said infill section is formed comprising a single layer and having a second height equal to the first height of the peripheral wall.

  • Patent number: 9194628
Abstract: Contemplated devices and methods reduce heat loss and energy demand in a ring furnace by heating an additional oxygen containing stream in a supplemental oxygen conduit that is thermally coupled to a flue duct of a cooling zone. The so heated additional oxygen containing stream is then fed to the firing and/or pre-heat zones to increases combustion of volatiles and to reduce fuel demand by recycling waste heat to the firing and/or pre-heat zones.

    Filed: March 11, 2013
Date of Patent: November 24, 2015
    Assignee: Fluor Technologies Corporation

  • Patent number: 6408602
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus for compressing a plurality of objects into a compressed grouping and transferring said compressed grouping to a transfer conveyor. The apparatus includes a rotatable cylinder having a plurality of receiving areas positioned around the circumference of the cylinder for receiving a plurality of objects in expanded arrangement from an infeed conveyor at a receiving position. The apparatus also includes first and second compression members, one positioned on each end of said cylinder adjacent the receiving areas and covering a circumferential-portion of a side of said cylinder. The compression members include inclined portion which force the end objects toward the longitudinal center of the cylinder. In addition, a transfer conveyor running longitudinally through the cylinder for capturing a compressed grouping at the transfer position.
