Patent number: 11811629Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to apparatus and methods that collect sensed data and that may organize that data such that it can be accessed by user devices or that can be organized and analyzed according to rules, conventions, or policies. Data collected by sensors or devices may be transmitted to a computer or server that stores that data. That stored data may then be analyzed to identify trends, events, or a chain of related events. In certain instances, an analysis of sets of raw data may result in the generation of a report or may result in alerts being sent to particular user devices. These sets of collected data, generated reports, and alert information may be stored and synchronized at one or more computing devices as data sets associated with a group of user devices or with a group of sensing devices.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2021Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Assignee: IMAGEKEEPER LLCInventors: Jerry Speasl, Mike Patterson, Marc Roberts

Publication number: 20230306674Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may couple to a sensor payload device that includes cameras, radar, lidar, and/or other sensors. The UAV, coupled to the sensor payload device, may fly within the airspace of and/or around a property and capture images and/or sensor measurements of the property. The images and sensor measurements may be certified so that they may be verified as unaltered by viewers. A 3D representation of the property may be generated, and defects in the property may be detected by comparing the 3D representation to media depicting property defects. A report identifying the defects may be generated.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2022Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Jerry Speasl, Mike Patterson, Marc Roberts

Publication number: 20230281737Abstract: Global positioning system (GPS) receivers, along with a user device with a camera, can be used to determine an elevation of a point of interest on or within a structure. The user device and a first GPS receiver can be located somewhere outside the structure from which the structure is clearly visible. A second GPS receiver can be located on, within, or near the structure. The user device receives location data from both GPS receivers and calculates a distance between the two. The user device then takes a digital photograph in which structure is visible and notes the photo capture angle. The user device then calculates the elevation of the point of interest trigonometrically using the calculated GPS distance and the photo angle. The user device can then automatically insert this information into associated documentation and transmit the same.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2022Publication date: September 7, 2023Inventors: Jerry Speasl, Marc Roberts, Mike Patterson

Publication number: 20230186776Abstract: A base module may be used to receive and house one or more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) via one or more cavities. The base module receives commands from a manager device and identifies a flight plan that allows a UAV to execute the received commands. The base module transfers the flight plan to the UAV and frees the UAV. Once the UAV returns, the base module once again receives it. The base module then receives sensor data from the UAV from one or more sensors onboard the UAV, and optionally receives additional information describing its flight and identifying success or failure of the flight plan. The base module transmits the sensor data and optionally the additional information to a storage medium locally or remotely accessible by the manager device.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2022Publication date: June 15, 2023Inventors: Jerry Speasl, Mike Patterson, Marc Roberts

Publication number: 20220408165Abstract: A server system receives a digital media asset captured by a media capture device along with a dataset associated with the digital media asset. The server system generates a modified digital media asset by overlaying or embedding a glyph that encodes information pointing to the network location of the information page onto the digital media asset. A requesting device scans the glyph from the modified digital media asset and decodes from the glyph the information pointing to the network location. The information includes a certification that the digital media and the dataset associated with the digital media asset are unaltered. The requesting device may transmit communications to the server system to indicate approval or disapproval of the digital media asset, or to edit the digital media asset. The server system receives the communication and may modify the information to reflect comments, approvals, disapprovals, or edits.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2022Publication date: December 22, 2022Inventors: Jerry Speasl, Mike Patterson, Marc Roberts

Publication number: 20220116511Abstract: Systems and methods for generating certified images, annotations, and incident reports are disclosed. A media capture device can be used to capture a media asset and related metadata. The image and its metadata can then be certified upon capture so that it can be verified as authentic and unaltered after certification. The certified media asset can then be included in or as a part of an incident report, which may optionally align multiple media assets along a path based on location and time of capture. The report may itself be certified and synchronized with a cloud server system.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2021Publication date: April 14, 2022Inventors: Jerry Speasl, Marc Roberts, Mike Patterson

Publication number: 20210224539Abstract: Digital media assets depicting or otherwise representing portions of a property are captured via a media capture device, such as an unmanned vehicle, at various locations about a property. A positioning receiver tracks the location of the media capture device when each digital media asset is captured. A computing device associated with either the media capture device itself or a network-connected server automatically generates location-based categories—such as “front side” or “rear side” or “living room”—automatically based on the plurality of locations so that each location-based category is associated with multiple digital media assets and their corresponding locations.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2021Publication date: July 22, 2021Inventors: Jerry Speasl, Mike Patterson, Marc Roberts
