  • Patent number: 9709492
Abstract: A filter press having a plurality of stackable filter plate assemblies comprises at least one turbidity sensing module [20, 220, 320, 420] coupled to a first filter plate assembly [1] within the plurality of stackable filter plate assemblies. The turbidity sensing module [20, 220, 320, 420] is generally positioned between a filtrate drain opening [8a-d] communicating with a filter chamber [14], and either a filtrate port [7, 13] or filtrate discharge tube [4g, 15], in order to determine a level of turbidity of filtrate [50] exiting said first filter plate assembly. Turbidity levels may be determined independently of turbidity levels of filtrate [50] exiting other filter plate assemblies [1] within the filter press. When turbidity levels reach a predetermined threshold, and alarm [80] is activated, which informs an operator of the need to replace a filter cloth associated with the affected filter plate assembly [1].

  • Publication number: 20130316611
Abstract: A water balloon launching cannon is disclosed. The water balloon launching cannon includes a slotted barrel for rapid and easy loading and uses compressed air as the propelling force for firing the water balloon. Namely, the water balloon launching cannon includes an I-beam support upon which is mounted an air delivery system and the slotted barrel. For ease of disassembly, (1) the air delivery system includes quick-release mechanisms and (2) a plunger assembly inside the barrel is held by an easily removable pin. Further, a method of operating and a method using the water balloon launching cannon are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050247030
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and assembly for storing a paintbrush having a bristle portion and a handle portion. The bristle portion has an associated maximum width and a plurality of bristles having a plurality of ends. The invention involves (a) engaging an enclosable portion of the paintbrush including the bristle portion of the paintbrush using a first body portion; and, (b) moving a second body portion relative to the first body portion between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the first body portion and the second body portion provide an open side for inserting and removing the enclosable portion of the paintbrush. In the closed position, the first body portion engages the second body portion to enclose the open side, to closely enclose the enclosed portion of the paintbrush, and to provide a base portion for bordering and protecting the plurality of ends to the plurality of bristles.
