  • Publication number: 20230165219
Abstract: An apparatus for a chewable treat holder and pet toy may be shown and described. An exemplary embodiment may include two clamping blocks which are clamped together via top and bottom knobs. Each top knob is connected to a threaded rod which is screwed into a nut embedded in a bottom knob. A pet treat may be clamped between the two clamping blocks, which can be clamped by tightening the knobs on the top and bottom of the blocks. The clamping blocks and tightening knobs may be composed of a pet-friendly material and may be able to withstand stress from chewing. The knobs may fully contain the threaded rods and the nuts such that no part of the threaded rods or nuts is exposed to animals.

  • Patent number: 8819877
Abstract: A method and device for accurately positioning patients for imaging and radiotherapy is disclosed. The device includes a support platform (such as a bed, a table, a couch, a chair, etc.) connected to a fixed base by at least two and preferably four offset supporting arms. The support arms are journaled into the support platform at passive-rotatable pivot joints and are journaled into the base at active-rotatable pivot points. The base contains actuators (manual or powered by motors, pneumatics or hydraulics) for articulating the support arms. The relative lengths of the support arms may be varied to create a pre-defined trajectory of the support platform, between a starting spatial position and orientation to an ending spatial position and orientation, and through a continuous range there between. This makes it possible to position a patient within a range from a low, standing up position to a high, forwarding, prone or supine position, or vice versa.

  • Patent number: 7597104
Abstract: A system and method for immobilization of the human breast in a prone position during imaging and radiotherapy. The system includes a vacuum-assisted breast immobilization cup comprising two layers joined together with an air space between. The inner layer has densely perforated holes while the outer layer is airtight. When a negative vacuum is applied to the intermediate airspace the breast tissue is sucked against the mesh wall of the inner layer to preventing sliding. In addition, the cup assembly is locked into a fixed position against the patient torso via a body fixture, as well as against the patient support structure. The established geometric relationship among the cup, chest wall, imaging/treatment table or couch may be accurately repeated. The system further includes a three-dimensional localization system to uniquely place the breast in a coordinate system having fixed geometric relationship with the breast immobilization cup.
