Abstract: A vehicle braking system includes a processing device, a linear actuator, a master cylinder, and a braking caliper. The processing device is configured to receive a heartbeat from an operating vehicle. The linear actuator is communicatively coupled to the processing device. The master cylinder is coupled to the linear actuator. Upon not receiving the heartbeat within a threshold period of time, the processing device is configured to transmit a signal to the linear actuator to cause a force to be transmitted to the master cylinder, actuating the braking caliper, and causing the operating vehicle to stop.

Abstract: A seamless electronic system and method for application, acceptance of, authorizing access to, and tracking purchases made with a new credit account is disclosed. The method uses a mobile device to electronically apply for a new credit account and receive a metadata file formatted for a mobile wallet on the mobile device, the metadata file providing a new credit account for making purchases via a mobile payment. A biometric security is provided to limit access to the new credit account, the biometric security being different than an input needed to access the mobile device. A user is authenticated with the biometric security, prior to receiving access to the new credit account; and initiating a mobile purchase therewith. A digital receipt identifying one or more aspects of the mobile purchase is received.

Abstract: Methods and systems for enhancing customer purchasing behavior are disclosed. A transactional data evaluator receives a first set of aggregated customer transaction data, having no PII and a second set of aggregated customer transaction data, having PII. The transactional data evaluator uses the first set of aggregated customer transaction data to develop a plurality of customer profiles, compares the second set of aggregated customer transaction data with the plurality of customer profiles, and assigns each customer associated with the second set of aggregated customer transaction data to at least one of the plurality of customer profiles. A customer profile specific marketing strategy is then generated based on an evaluation of each customer associated with the second set of aggregated customer transaction data with respect to the assigned at least one of the plurality of customer profiles.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a water-based printing ink or coating composition comprising an acrylic resin emulsion and an epoxy ester resin dispersion. The present invention also provides a process for preparing the printing ink or coating composition comprising forming an emulsion of an acrylic resin having the general formula I by copolymerizing monomers in water, forming an epoxy ester resin dispersion by adding the epoxy ester resin to a solvent and combining the acrylic resin emulsion and the epoxy resin ester dispersion to provide the composition. Finally the present invention provides a process for preparing an article with a coating or an ink printed thereon which comprises applying the ink or coating composition to a surface of an article and drying the composition. The compositions exhibit a high degree of alkali resistance, acid resistance and/or water softener resistance.

The TSSI system may also determine whether client eligibility for a service subscription is current or has lapsed. The TSSI system may monitor usage of an integrated service subscription and recommend additional, or alternative, service subscriptions.

Abstract: Appearance-changing indicators are provided that include a substrate having two or more portions configured to undergo one or more visible color changes when exposed to one or more transition temperatures to reveal one or more markings. A conventional ink is printed onto the substrate to form a first marking. A first thermochromic ink is printed onto the substrate to form a second marking adjacent to and at least partially surrounding the first marking and is further printed onto the substrate to form a third marking. The first marking is embedded within the second marking to disguise the first marking without substantially overlapping the first marking, such that the first marking becomes visible when a first transition temperature is reached or exceeded. Also disclosed are methods of fabricating such appearance-changing indicators.
