    Abstract: An apparatus used to tie fishing line to fishing tackle, and the procedures developed to be used specifically with the apparatus to form certain knots used in sport fishing. The gross structure of the apparatus is a rod with a securing device, such as an alligator clip, attached to one end. The fishing tackle may be secured to the apparatus using the securing device. Then the fishing line may be threaded through the appropriate structure of the fishing tackle, and the apparatus manipulated to produce the desired knot.
