  • Publication number: 20140373568
Abstract: A direct venting system for a free-standing propane powered refrigerator is disclosed. The direct venting system pre-installed on the refrigerator, the system having an air intake for drawing air from outside and directing the air to a burner box for combustion of the propane gas flame that runs the refrigerator, and an exhaust outlet for venting all of the flue gases or products of combustion out of the system with the system being hermetically sealed with respect to an interior environment within which the refrigerator is installed. The fresh air is directed to a burner box by means of a specially designed air inlet adapter that includes a step-down feature that reduces the likelihood of blow-out of the gas flame. The flue gases are directed through an offset chimney structure and a three-layered exhaust outlet that reduces the formation of condensate thereby protecting the system from blow-out and corrosion.

  • Publication number: 20100091325
Abstract: The present invention provides, among other features, a device and method for removably enclosing other devices. This device is ruggedized and mobile while also providing protection to the other devices from harsh conditions. Further, this device may integrate and/or contain electronics capable of providing power to other devices. The power components should be able to receive power from an AC or DC source and output, to one or more devices, AC and/or DC. This device is adapted for use in the agricultural harvesting process.

  • Publication number: 20080001706
Abstract: A proximity lock is battery powered and includes an infrared (IR) circuit for detecting the presence of an authentication device and a radio frequency (RF) circuit for communicating with the authentication device. RF signals emitted from an RF circuit are received by an antenna within the authentication device. An IR signal recognizes the presence of the authentication device and prompts the RF circuit to communicate with the authentication device.

  • Publication number: 20060213200
Abstract: The present invention provides an adaptive combustion controller and method for a turbine engine. The adaptive combustion controller and method modulates the fuel flow to the turbine engine combustor to reduce combustion instabilities. In particular, the adaptive combustion controller includes a fuel flow phase controller and a fuel flow magnitude controller. The adaptive combustion controller receives sensor data from the turbine engine. In response to the sensor data the fuel flow phase controller adjusts the phase of the modulated fuel flow to reduce instabilities in the combustor. Likewise, in response to the sensor data the fuel flow magnitude controller adjusts the magnitude of the modulated fuel flow to further reduce the instabilities in the combustor. By modulating the fuel flow to the combustor, and adaptively adjusting the phase and magnitude of the modulated fuel flow, the adaptive combustion controller is able to effectively reduce combustion instabilities.

  • Publication number: 20050230863
Abstract: A molding tool is especially adapted for vacuum molding or forming of structures and, in particular, fibrous composite structures. Such a molding tool includes a mold plate with narrow slots in the mold surface thereof and wider channels in the back surface thereof, with such slots and channels intersecting one another. The slots and channels are arranged so as to promote an effective, uniform distribution of a vacuum on the mold surface of the mold plate yet not promote deformation and/or dimpling of a part being formed upon the mold surface. A skirt is advantageously provided on the mold plate to facilitate the deposition of the structure material from a suspension during the vacuum molding procedure.

  • Patent number: 6223632
Abstract: A wrench includes a tubular extension secured in the second jaw member by set screws. The tubular extension is connected on one side by the adjusting handle and is connected to the bored gear on the second side. When the handle is rotated, the internally threaded gear drives first jaw portion in and out and is also exposed for conventional hand adjustment.

  • Patent number: 5794348
Abstract: A clipper comb is comprised of a handle having a motor, responsive to an activation button depression, disposed therein. A cutting assembly, having a comb and a cutter with a plurality of blades such that in a normally relaxed state each blade overlies a comb tooth, is removably attached to the handle. Motor activation causes the blades to cut hair held within the openings defined between each comb tooth. A dual-topped cam assures blade alignment. An alternate embodiment comprises a single blade that cuts across all tooth opening upon motor activation. A deadman switch assures blade alignment.
