Abstract: Embodiments of cushtop laptop stands and methods of manufacture thereof are generally described herein. An article to support a device comprises a first portion having a first interior surface and a first exterior surface, a second portion having a second interior surface and a second exterior surface, and a third portion configured to couple together the first portion and the second portion. At least one of the first, second, and third portions comprises a cushioning material. In a first configuration, the article comprises a first end of the first interior surface spaced apart from a first end of the second interior surface by a first distance, and a second end of the first interior surface spaced apart from a second end of the second interior surface by a second distance greater than the first distance.

Abstract: Carrying cases (e.g., for a computer mouse) comprising a pad and a fastener (e.g., a zipper) around the perimeter of the pad that may form a mouse pad when the fastener is unfastened, and may be folded along a dimension and the fastener fastened to form a storage pouch. Such carrying cases may include a rim to prevent a mouse from sliding off of the mouse pad, an attachment mechanism that may include a strap, a snap button, or both, or a combination thereof. Embodiments are neoprene having a thickness of 1 to 5 mm, have a fold dimension between 15 and 30 cm, or both. The fastener may have a pull tab located at one end of the fold when the fastener is unfastened and at an opposite end of the fold when the fastener is fastened. Pads may be round, oval, or rectangular with rounded corners.

Abstract: A portable, disposable apparatus for lighting charcoal or other flammable material contained therein. A central compartment generally in the shape of a tube extends from a bottom portion of the apparatus up through the center of the main body of the apparatus. An ignition strip extends within the tube. The apparatus is made of paper or paperboard or other lightweight flammable, yet durable, material. The apparatus is used by lighting the bottom of the ignition strip, which thereby starts a fire within the central compartment. The fire in the tube then ignites the charcoal within the main body of the apparatus. As the charcoal burns, the apparatus eventually burns away, leaving the burning charcoal in a pile.

Abstract: A case (100) can be configured to hold a portable computer (350) with a keyboard (351). In one embodiment, the case can include: (a) a base shell (120) having: (1) a base panel (121) with a first side (144); and (2) one or more pads (231) extending from the first side and positioned such that a bottom of the portable computer is capable of resting on the one or more pads; and (b) a cover shell (110) coupled to the base shell and configured to move between a first position relative to the base shell, in which a user cannot type on the keyboard of the portable computer while the portable computer is inside of the case, and a second position relative to the base shell, in which the user can type on the keyboard of the portable computer while the portable computer is inside of the case.

The foldable mouse pad includes a perimeter extending around the mouse pad 130, wherein the perimeter contains a fastener 120, so that when the mouse pad folds it can form a storage pouch. Other embodiments of the present invention provide a mouse pad 200 having a pocket 220 for storage of computer and electronic accessories and a mouse pad comprising a perimeter of piping 180 to prevent a mouse from sliding off the mouse pad on an uneven surface.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer input device (100) includes: (a) an outer casing (110) with an interior cavity (360); (b) a scrolling mechanism (220) located within the interior cavity and useable through the outer casing; (c) one or more buttons (250) located within the interior cavity and useable through the outer casing; and (c) a movement mechanism (230) located within the interior cavity and configured to detect movement of the outer casing. The outer casing encloses the scrolling mechanism, the at least one button, and the movement sensor such that the computer input device is washable.

Abstract: Embodiments of laptop computer carrying articles and methods of manufacture thereof are generally described herein. An article for carrying a laptop computer generally comprises a body having a non-secured opening, and a support strap coupled to the body. The non-secured opening comprises dimensions at least as large as at least two of a laptop width, a laptop height, or a laptop thickness. The body further comprises a first side having a substantially uninterrupted surface, and a second side opposite the first side and comprising the non-secured opening. The support strap is integral with at least one of the first or second sides of body. Other embodiments may be described and claimed herein.
