  • Publication number: 20240071179
Abstract: A system and method for managing a game including generating a grid with a processing device. The grid is comprised of a plurality of squares defined by a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. The method also includes establishing betting odds for each of the squares and presenting the squares and associated betting odds on a graphical user interface. The betting odds of each of the squares are associated with a likelihood of the square being established as a winning square. A winning square is designated in response to a score of a live sporting event including a digit of a score of a first team being the same as a row number of the square, and a digit of a score of a second team being the same as a column number of the square at the end of a predetermined interval of the live sporting event.

  • Publication number: 20220388774
Abstract: A robot includes a body coupled to a wheel assembly and a container retrieval device. The wheel assembly has a plurality of wheels and a drive mechanism arranged to move the body along a first set of parallel rails and along a second set of parallel rails. The container retrieval device includes an extendable and retractable grapple arranged to selectively secure an engagement feature positioned between a rim and a bottom surface of a container. The grapple thus allows the robot to lift multiple containers in a single lift.

  • Patent number: 10537998
Abstract: A compact lightweight robotic end-effector has a large range of possible applied force. The end-effector includes one or more underactuated appendages, where each appendage is driven by a single motor connected to a driving cable wound throughout the appendage. The driving cable may be a flat cable or a cable with another non-circular cross section. The driving cable may be wrapped through a series of pulleys and/or bearings within the appendage to reduce frictional losses. The design of the pulley path may allow a desired mechanical response by the appendage, and the mechanical response may be optimized for a grasping process.

  • Patent number: 6901440
Abstract: The present invention provides a scalable, high-performance universal service activation system and method for activating service(s) on a network management system/EMS or other information management system with universal or generic informational changes entered in a service provisioning system(s). The invention is particularly useful in describing and initiating the activation of telecommunications and data communications network services in a vendor neutral manner, but can be employed to advantage for providing universal service activation for any industry and independent of technology. The inventive system and method incorporates object behavior concepts with the existing network management approach to create an EMS/NMS/OSS that significantly reduces the human effort to integrate network element configuration and provisioning for new and modified network elements.
