Patent number: 11411756Abstract: Content is shared by rendering the content in a shared session and providing the rendered content to the participating devices. The originating device has access to an original version of the content in a virtual session, which is accessed by logging into cloud content services and downloading the desired content into the virtual session. A rendering engine in a rendered session then renders the content and distributes the rendered content to the participants. Only rendered content is provided to the participants, so that the participants cannot see the credentials of the originating user, cannot see the document source and do not have access to the document itself. The participants can mark up the rendered content, which markups are shared to the other participants.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2018Date of Patent: August 9, 2022Assignee: POLYCOM, INC.Inventors: Mike Tucker, Eric Hyman, Dragan Ignjatic

Patent number: 10862987Abstract: A telepresence system which includes at least one display device and a beacon coupled to the display device. The beacon emits a signal so as to be discoverable by electronic devices nearby such as in a meeting location. The system also includes a receiver-controller coupled to the beacon, the receiver-controller configured to enable such electronic devices to be recognized and to join a collaborative session in which content from one electronic device can be shared with other electronic devices. The receiver-controller can and will share some or all of its functions with one or more of the joined devices simultaneously, if security and identity protocols are satisfied.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2019Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: Polycom, Inc.Inventors: Matvey Digilov, Amir Levy, Marek Dutkiewicz, Thomas Quentin Brady, Mike Tucker, Moshe Noah Lipsker, Anat Levy

Patent number: 9103520Abstract: An automotive combined turn signal and tail/stop lamp (10) having co-axial transparent collimating inner and outer light guides (18, 30). Inner collimating light guide (18) receives light from a yellow LED (16), outer collimating light guide (30) receives light from red LEDs (14), the yellow and red LEDs located in thermal communication with a common heat sink (2). Mirror optics (40, 42) reflect light from respective light output prisms (28, 35) of the inner and outer light guides outward to nested reflectors on the automobile. Electrical conductors (48) between the light guides (18, 30) can feed power from a PC board (12) to supply additional light sources within an RCL housing, such as white back-up light.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2014Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: OSRAM SYLVANIA Inc.Inventors: Thomas Tessnow, Mike Tucker, Adam Bushre, Ronald E. Boyd, Jr.

Patent number: 7686486Abstract: An LED lamp (10) has a housing (12) with an interior wall (14) defining a cavity (16). An LED light source (26) is positioned in the cavity (16) and project light in a forward direction. A reflector (28) having a reflective surface (30), a forward opening (32) and a rear opening (34) surrounds the light source (26) and a complex lens (38) closes the forward opening. The lens (38) comprises a first optical refractive element (40) arranged around a peripheral edge (42) and a second optical refractive element (44) centrally located on the lens (38); the first optical refractive element (40) including a plurality of flute lenses (40a) and the second optical refractive element (44) comprising a concavo-convex lens (44a).Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2008Date of Patent: March 30, 2010Assignee: OSRAM SYLVANIA Inc.Inventors: Thomas Tessnow, Mike Tucker, Vipin Madhani, Peter Frey

Publication number: 20090152600Abstract: A method of manufacturing an IC that comprises fabricating a semiconductor device. Fabricating the device includes depositing a photoresist layer on a substrate surface and implanting one or more dopant species through openings in the photoresist layer into the substrate, and, into the photoresist layer, thereby forming an implanted photoresist layer. Fabricating the device also includes removing the implanted photoresist layer. Removing the implanted photoresist layer includes exposing the implanted photoresist layer to a mixture that includes sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and ozone. The mixture is at a temperature of at least about 130°.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 14, 2008Publication date: June 18, 2009Applicant: Texas Instruments IncorporatedInventors: Srinivasa Raghavan, Murlidhar Bashyam, Mike Tucker, Kalyan Cherukuri

Publication number: 20040003045Abstract: A personal videoconferencing system includes a videoconferencing appliance connected to a personal computer through a Universal Serial Bus (USB) or similar connection. The appliance is provided with a video camera and microphone for generating local video and audio streams. The local video and audio streams are compressed by a video and audio encoder residing at the appliance, and the compressed video and audio streams are conveyed to the personal computer over the USB connection. The appliance may be further provided with an audio decoder for decompressing a remote audio stream received by the personal computer through a network interface and conveyed to the appliance via the USB connection. A video decoder, located on the personal computer, is configured to decompress the local video stream (received through the USB connection) as well as a remote video stream received through the network interface. The decompressed video streams are then sent to a monitor for display to a user.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2003Publication date: January 1, 2004Inventors: Mike Tucker, Don Binford, Rick Flott, Patrick Vanderwilt, Michael Kenoyer, Jason C.
