  • Publication number: 20240096457
Abstract: A computer system for generating an insurance policy for a user includes a processor and a non-transitory, tangible, computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: (i) receiving, from a wearable electronic user device, biometric data associated with a user; (ii) analyzing, based upon a plurality of rules, the biometric data; (iii) determining a health score associated with the user, based in part upon the analysis of the biometric data, wherein the health score represents a likelihood that the user will maintain a level of health for a predefined period of time; (iv) retrieving terms and conditions for an insurance policy from a database based upon the health score; and (v) generating, based upon the determining, an insurance policy for the user based upon the terms and conditions.

  • Patent number: 11913736
Abstract: A heater includes a flow guide and a plurality of electrical resistance heating elements. The flow guide defines a continuous geometric helicoid disposed about a longitudinal axis of the heater assembly. The flow guide defines a predetermined pattern of perforations that extend in a longitudinal direction through a first longitudinal length of the geometric helicoid, the longitudinal direction being parallel to the longitudinal axis. The plurality of electrical resistance heating elements extend through the perforations. At least one electrical resistance heating element of the plurality of electrical resistance heating elements has a first region with a first watt density and a second region with a second watt density. The second region is located farther in the longitudinal direction than the first region. The second watt density is less than the first watt density.

  • Publication number: 20230197261
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to management of therapeutic digital assets in a non-medical environment. In an illustrative example, non-medical digital asset(s) (NMDAs) may be evaluated relative to one or more therapeutic modalities. A corresponding therapeutic digital asset (TDA) may, for example, be generated for each therapeutically associated NMDA. The TDA may, for example, be traceably associated with corresponding risks and/or risk mitigations. Each TDA may be associated, for example, with a test profile corresponding to a risk and/or risk mitigation. A TDA may be released into a non-medical digital content delivery environment (DCDE), for example. The TDA may, for example, be monitored in the DCDE to maintain verification and/or validation (VV). A change in the DCDE affecting VV of the TDA may, for example, result in deactivation of the TDA in the DCDE. Various embodiments may advantageously permit VV of selected digital assets in a non-medical environment.

  • Publication number: 20150066873
Abstract: Policy based deduplication techniques are described. A deduplication application may manage deduplication operations for a storage system. The deduplication application may comprise, among other elements, a deduplication handler component to receive a deduplication request to perform deduplication operations for a logical container of a storage system. The deduplication application may further comprise a policy manager component to retrieve a data compliance policy associated with the logical container, the data compliance policy to comprise a set of rules to control deduplication operations for the logical container. The deduplication application may still further comprise a deduplication manager component to determine whether to perform deduplication operations for the logical container based on the data compliance policy for the logical container. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20130297572
Abstract: A system provides file aware block level deduplication in a system having multiple clients connected to a storage subsystem over a network such as an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The system includes client components and storage subsystem components. Client components include a walker that traverses the namespace looking for files that meet the criteria for optimization, a file system daemon that rehydrates the files, and a filter driver that watches all operations going to the file system. Storage subsystem components include an optimizer resident on the nodes of the storage subsystem. The optimizer can use idle processor cycles to perform optimization. • Patent number: 8327550
Abstract: A jigsaw drive shaft is connected to a blade by the blade clamp of the present invention. The blade clamp comprises a clamp body mounted securely to the drive shaft by a bracket. The clamp body has a hollow portion formed to receive an upper portion the jigsaw blade. The clamp body also includes a hollow tubular extension. A cam body is pivotable about an axis through a cylindrical bore such that cam surfaces move in and out of contact with an interior surface of the clamp body to engage or release the blade. A spring biases the cam body into engagement with the clamp body surface. The user must press on a protrusion of the cam body to pivot the cam surfaces way from the clamp surface and against the force of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20120076443
Abstract: A method for preparing a stabilized nitrocellulose article includes providing a nitrocellulose-containing mat of fibers. The nitrocellulose-containing mat of fibers is treated with a solution that comprises a solvent and a stabilizer to produce the article. The stabilizer is soluble in the solvent. The solvent dissolves the stabilizer and the nitrocellulose in the nitrocellulose-containing mat of fibers is substantially insoluble in the solvent at ambient pressure and temperature. An inflatable bag comprises a shell and the stabilized nitrocellulose article. The shell is formed from a foldable material and has an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface defines an interior cavity of the inflatable bag. The stabilized nitrocellulose article is disposed upon the inner surface of the shell in the interior cavity and is foldable in conformity with at least one fold of the shell.
