  • Publication number: 20150148937
Abstract: An arrangement includes a grinding wheel and a hand-held power tool. The hand-held power tool comprises a housing, a drive shaft, a drive unit configured to drive the drive shaft, a first handle and a second handle which are each fixed on the housing, a sensor, and an evaluation and control device. The sensor is configured to record at least one property information of the grinding wheel so as to determine a diameter of the grinding wheel. The evaluation and control device is configured to generate a setpoint value for a rotational speed based on the at least one property information of the grinding wheel recorded.

  • Patent number: 6662917
Abstract: A model train capable of operating on either a two rail system or a three rail system, the model train including: an electrical device having a first power terminal and a second power terminal; a first wheel assembly for engaging a first rail; a second wheel assembly for engaging a second rail; a pickup member for engaging a third rail; and a switch member coupled between the motor, the first wheel assembly, the second wheel assembly and the pickup member, the switch operable in a first state and a second state, wherein in the first state the switch couples the pickup member to the first power terminal, and couples the first wheel assembly and the second wheel assembly to the second power terminal, and in the second state the switch couples the first wheel assembly to the first power terminal and couples the second wheel assembly to the second power terminal.

  • Publication number: 20020150118
Abstract: The invention relates to a communication system with means for transmitting a data stream via a transmission medium by means of time slot coding. A synchronization pattern is provided for insertion into the data stream and is selected in such a way that it differs by a prescribable Hamming distance from all the valid data signals of the time slot coding independently of the respective time slot of the data signals, and that it differs by a prescribable Hamming distance from all time-shifted versions of the synchronization pattern.

  • Patent number: 5648607
Abstract: The present invention relates to a replaceable sight gauge system to monitor fluid levels in a reservoir or fluid tank. The sight gauge of the present system is mounted to the wall of a fluid tank by two bolt assemblies. The bolt assemblies, which include an entry bolt, an exit bolt, and a fastener, are designed to selectively allow fluid from the tank to flow through the bolt assembly into the sight gauge while holding the sight gauge securely against the fluid tank. The entry bolt houses a valve which opens when the exit bolt is mated with the entry bolt. When the exit bolt is disengaged from the entry bolt, the valve moves back to a closed position so that fluid cannot escape from the fluid tank. The sight gauge can easily be replaced from the disengaged exit bolt.

  • Patent number: 5504687
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically selecting components for a particular machinery application. The apparatus includes a computing device having a memory, a data input device, at least one database in the memory, an application program, a display device, and an output device. The database contains a plurality of files concerning the components and the machinery. The application program is executed in the computing device and interactively displays a series of screens that prompt a user to input data concerning the machinery and concerning the desired parameters of the components. The program then compares the user inputted data with the database files and interactively generates output data concerning the proper components for the particular machinery application. The program then utilizes the output data to select the proper components for the particular machinery application and displays information concerning the components.
