  • Publication number: 20250089782
Abstract: An aerosol provision system including an aerosolizable material transport element for receiving aerosolizable material to be vaporized, wherein the aerosol provision system further includes a rotatable component having a recess for accommodating a first portion of the aerosolizable material transport element, wherein the rotatable component is configured to move between a first configuration of the aerosol provision system and a second configuration of the aerosol provision system, wherein the rotatable component in the second configuration is configured for restricting the formation of vaporized aerosolizable material from the aerosolizable material transport element. The rotatable component may in some cases include a fluid outlet tube for receiving vaporized aerosolizable material from the aerosolizable material transport element.

  • Publication number: 20250082023
Abstract: An aerosol provision system including an aerosolizable material transport element for receiving aerosolizable material. The aerosolizable material transport element includes an aperture extending through a thickness of the aerosolizable material transport element. The aerosol provision system also includes a conductive member, in the form of a conductive plate or a conductive foil, which is in contact with the aerosolizable material transport element, and including a thermally conductive surface for receiving heat for transferring to the aerosolizable material transport element. The aerosolizable material transport element is in contact with the conductive member at a contact surface from the conductive member, and the contact surface is opposite the thermally conductive surface. This arrangement allows for an efficient transfer of heat across the conductive member to the aerosolizable material transport element.

  • Publication number: 20250082018
Abstract: An aerosol provision system including an aerosolizable material transport element for receiving aerosolizable material to be vaporized. The aerosol provision system is moveable between a first configuration in which at least a portion of the aerosolizable material transport element is uncompressed or partly compressed, and a second configuration in which the portion of the aerosolizable material transport element is compressed by a greater amount than in the first configuration for restricting the formation of vaporized aerosolizable material from the aerosolizable material transport element in the second configuration. The aerosol provision system can include a fluid outlet tube which is configured to move between the first configuration and the second configuration for causing the portion of the aerosolizable material transport element to be compressed in the second configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240341354
Abstract: A consumable part for use in an aerosol provision system. The consumable part includes a first reservoir for containing aerosolizable material, and a second reservoir for containing flavoring material. The consumable part also includes an aerosolizable material transport element for receiving the aerosolizable material from the first reservoir. The aerosolizable material transport element at least partly separates the first reservoir from the second reservoir, and the aerosolizable material transport element is configured to deliver vaporized aerosolizable material into the second reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20240324674
Abstract: An aerosol provision system comprising a reservoir for aerosolizable material, a wick for receiving aerosolizable material from the reservoir, and a vaporizer for vaporizing aerosolizable material in the wick. A structure from the aerosol provision system, in response to a temperature of the vaporizer or wick exceeding a predetermined temperature, is operable to change from a first configuration in which operation of the vaporizer is possible, to a second configuration in which operation of the vaporizer is prevented. This structure could be operable to reversibly change between the first configuration and the second configuration, and might be configured to short circuit the vaporizer in some cases. The structure might also be configured to disconnect a connection lead for delivering power to the in some cases.

  • Publication number: 20230389607
Abstract: An aerosol provision system comprising a reservoir for aerosolisable material; a wick configured to receive the aerosolizable material from the reservoir, a vaporizer configured to vaporize the aerosolizable material received in the wick, wherein the aerosol provision system is configured to measure at least one parameter of the wick to determine a status of the wick The parameter may be the moisture content of the wick, at least one physical dimension of the wick, and/or an optical parameter, such as the color of an external surface of the wick, or the reflectivity of an external surface of the wick.

  • Publication number: 20230020470
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a non-combustible aerosol provision system and consumables and aerosol generators for non-combustible aerosol provision systems. In various implementations, the non-combustible aerosol provision system comprises a control device that includes an outer housing defining a receiving chamber, a power source and a control component, an aerosol generator coupled to the control device, and an atomizer-free consumable that includes a substrate for engagement with the aerosol generator. The consumable is configured to be removably coupled with one or both of the control device and the aerosol generator. The aerosol generator defines a vaporization chamber and is configured to heat the substrate to generate an aerosol.
