  • Patent number: 11908618
Abstract: A thermoelectric assembly for powering one or more electromagnetic valves of a cooking appliance. According to one embodiment the assembly includes a main current circuit that includes a thermocouple, a cable configured for electrically connecting the thermocouple with an electromagnetic valve, and a transistor connected to the cable and configured for de-energizing the electromagnetic valve. The main current circuit also includes a connection module that includes a power supply connected to the transistor, the power supply having input terminals configured for being connected to an external energy source, a rectifier, and a resistive block connected between one of the input terminals and the rectifier, the resistive block being configured for minimizing the current circulating through the power supply to a value equivalent to the galvanic isolation.

  • Publication number: 20220341593
Abstract: A thermoelectric safety assembly that includes a thermocouple configured to detect a flame in a burner and, in response to detecting the flame, generating an electrical voltage. The assembly includes an electromagnetic valve electrically connected to the thermocouple, and a transistor electrically connected between the thermocouple and the electromagnetic valve. The electromagnetic valve is arranged electrically connected with a field-effect transistor. The assembly also includes a voltage booster configured to power the transistor, the transistor being connected in parallel with the voltage booster. An output terminal of the voltage booster is arranged connected with a gate terminal of the transistor, the voltage booster being configured to boost the electrical voltage generated in the thermocouple, an electrical voltage being obtained that is capable of keeping the transistor closed such that the electromagnetic valve is energized.

  • Publication number: 20180266679
Abstract: According to one implementation a dual-fuel wall heater is provided that comprises a gas burner suitable for receiving a first gas or a second gas, a first pilot burner adapted to the first gas and a second pilot burner adapted to the second gas. The heater includes at least one pressure regulator, a control valve in fluid communication with the pressure regulator, and a selector valve in fluid communication with a gas outlet of the control valve. Each of the first and second pilot burners is arranged to direct a flame toward respective first and second thermocouples.

  • Patent number: 9500364
Abstract: A gas safety valve with a casing having a gas inlet and a gas outlet. An electromagnet disposed in the casing is situated to act on an arm within the casing that pivots to permit gas flow through between the gas inlet and outlet when the electromagnet is energized. When the electromagnet is not energized the arm closes to impede gas flow through the valve. During normal operation a thermocouple provides power to the electromagnet to hold the valve in an open position. An auxiliary power source is also electrically coupled with the electromagnet to provide power to the electromagnet when the thermocouple generates insufficient power to maintain the valve in an open position.

  • Publication number: 20140120480
Abstract: A compact thermoelectric safety actuator having a first body with a first cavity and a second body with a second cavity. The first and second bodies are connected so that the first and second cavities are arranged facing and open to one another. The first body has a gas outlet and the second body has a gas inlet in fluid communication with the gas outlet through the second cavity, An electromagnet of the actuator has a first end portion residing in the first cavity and a second end portion residing in the second cavity. A rotatable arm has a first end with a ferromagnetic frame adapted to engage the second portion of the electromagnet and a second end coupled to a sealing member, each of the tilting arm, ferromagnetic frame and sealing member are arranged in the second cavity. The first sealing member is configured to seat against a seating located on the first body when the arm is in a rest position, the first seating being located between the gas outlet and the second cavity.
