  • Patent number: 10889084
Abstract: An apparatus is described. The apparatus includes a first portion having a first material and a first interface surface. A second portion having a second material that is different than the first material is included. The second portion has a second interface surface that is connected to the first interface surface of the first portion. A method of manufacturing an apparatus is described. The method includes adhering a first portion of the apparatus to a second portion of the apparatus to create a combined portion. After adhering the first portion of the apparatus to the second portion of the apparatus to create the combined portion, the combined portion of the apparatus is treated.

  • Patent number: 8922442
Abstract: A device for wireless communication including a wireless transceiver, a printed circuit board (PCB) coupled to the wireless transceiver, a first antenna and a second antenna. The first antenna is coupled to the PCB at a feed point and grounded at a ground point. The first antenna is a quarter-wavelength antenna communicating signals with the wireless transceiver at a first frequency band. The second antenna is coupled to the first antenna at the feed point and grounded at a further ground point. The second antenna is a half-wavelength antenna communicating signals with the wireless transceiver at a second frequency band.

  • Publication number: 20140072159
Abstract: A mobile device is described. The mobile device includes an acoustic transducer that projects sound in a first direction and a second direction. A housing includes a cavity. The acoustic transducer is positioned in the housing to project sound in the first direction through an aperture in the housing. The transducer also projects sound in the second direction within the cavity. A first port is acoustically coupled to the cavity and acoustically isolated from the aperture. The sound projected in the second direction is emitted through the first port. A membrane covers the aperture and the first port. The membrane receives sound from the aperture and the first port and radiates the sound away from the housing.
