Abstract: This disclosure is directed to buttstocks for riffles, including assault rifles, automatic and semi-automatic rifles, hunting and sporting rifles, and the like. The buttstock of this disclosure comprises a body having an upper portion, a lower portion, a front portion, and rear portion. The front portion of the body is configured to be coupled to a lower receiver of a firearm, while the rear portion is for holding against a user shoulder. The buttstock also comprises a receptacle arranged in the upper portion for accommodating a buffer tube of the firearm. The buttstock also comprises an opening, a recess, or a thumbhole for accommodating a thumb of a user hand. The opening or recess is arranged such that when the user operates the buttstock connected to the firearm, the thumb of the user hand is positioned above a trigger of the firearm.

Abstract: A built-in ventilation hood assembly is designed for installation into a kitchen cabinet immediately above a built-in cooking device. The assembly includes a housing and a retractable hood unit, which may include at least one air intake into which air is drawn; and the housing may include at least one opening for exhaustion of the air taken into the housing. The assembly may also include at least one telescoping linear actuator configured to slide the retractable hood unit out from the housing and back into the housing when needed. The assembly may also include an air blower installed within a rear end of the housing. The air blower includes one, two, or more cross flow fans for uniform exhausting the air out of the housing. The housing may also include an external rectangular duct.

An example built-in ventilation hood assembly may comprise a housing and a retractable hood unit configured to be slidably mounted within the housing. The retractable hood unit may comprise at least one air intake into which air is drawn. The built-in ventilation hood assembly may further comprise a driving unit configured to slide the retractable hood unit out from the housing or slide the retractable hood unit in to the housing, and a ventilation unit being installed within the housing and configured to draw air in through the at least one air intake.
