  • Patent number: 5578198
Abstract: The automatic regulator device comprises a channel for measuring the level and density of pulp in the chamber of a floatation machine, in which two bubbling pipes are in communication with a differential pressure pickup connected to the input of a frother flow-rate regulating channel and to one input of a correction unit whose other input is connected to a pressure pickup communicating with one of the bubbling pipes. The output of the correction unit is connected to the input of a circuit designed to regulate the rate of flow of water with frother in a pulp level stabilizing channel, the output of said circuit being connected to an actuator valve installed on a pipeline feeding water with frother and furnishing a control signal with respect to a pulp level deviation from a preset value.

  • Patent number: 5368166
Abstract: The automatic control device comprises a channel used to measure the level and density of pulp in a chamber of a floatation machine, in which two bubbling tubes communicate with a differential pressure transducer connected to the input of a frother flow control channel and to the input of a correction unit whose other input is connected to a pressure transducer communicating with one of the bubbling tubes. The bubbling tubes are installed in hydrostatic tubes located outside the chamber and communicating therewith at different levels relative to the pulp level. The output of the correction unit is connected to the input of a circuit designed to control the flow rate of water and frother in a pulp level stabilizing channel and having its output connected to an actuator valve of a pipeline feeding water and frother.

  • Patent number: 5277317
Abstract: A floating method employing a cylindrical chamber having a tapered bottom to which there are secured a pipe for feeding a flotation pulp carrying mineral particles of fine fraction and a pipe for discharging gangue. Secured to the walls of the chamber is a trough for collecting froth concentrate, and a group of pulp aerators, whereas positioned axially inside the chamber is a group of tapered shells spaced equidistantly from one another with bases of larger diameter thereof facing the top part of the chamber and resting substantially at one tapered surface. Positioned over the chamber is a means for feeding mineral particles of coarse fraction in the form of a hydrocyclone, a cylindrical casing of this hydrocyclone having a pipe for evacuating the liquid phase of the floatation pulp positioned tangentially and communicating with the pipe for feeding the flotation pulp carrying mineral particles of fine fraction.

  • Patent number: 5116492
Abstract: An apparatus for clarification of industrial sewage comprises a vertical cylindrical chamber for circulation of industrial sewage with a conical bottom secured to which are a branch pipe for feeding the polluted industrial sewage with flocculants, and a branch pipe for discharging the slurry. Secured outside of the cylindrical chamber at its upper edge is a circular trough for draining the purified sewage while inside the chamber are arranged partitions for settling of solid particles and at least one separating partition in the form of a body of revolution with holes for distributing polluted sewage over the volume of the chamber, said partition being installed axially in the central part of the chamber with its upper edge arranged level with the upper edge of the chamber. Installed above the separating partition is a pressuretight bell-shaped housing communication with an air rarefaction means.

  • Patent number: 5066389
Abstract: A flotation machine comprises a cylindrical chamber having a tapered bottom to which there are secured a pipe for feeding a flotation pulp containing mineral particles of fine fraction, and a pipe for discharging gangue. Secured at the walls of the chamber is a trough for collecting froth concentrate and a group of pulp aerators, whereas arranged axially inside the chamber is a group of tapered shells spaced equidistantly heightwise of the chamber, bases of larger diameter of these shells facing the top part of the chamber and resting in one tapered surface, and one more group of tapered shells arranged at the top part of the chamber outside the shells of the first group, bases of smaller diameter of the shells facing the bottom and resting in one tapered surface outside the tapered shells of this group. Overlying the chamber is a means for feeding mineral particles of coarse fraction.
