  • Publication number: 20070165761
Abstract: A sampling rate converter (100) is provided. The system can include a data buffer (102), a processor (104) for processing data in the buffer (10), and a plurality of sampling rate lines for configuring the processor. For example, the input signal can have an input sampling frequency corresponding to a first sampling rate line (110) and an output signal having an output sampling frequency corresponding to a second sampling rate line (112). The processor (104) can convert the input samples corresponding to the first sampling rate to output samples corresponding to the second sampling rate using a single filter (700). The first line (110) can include approximate sampling rates of 8 kHz, 16 kHz, 32 kHz, and 64 kHz; the second line (112) can include approximate sampling rates of 12 kHz, 48 kHz, and 96 kHz; and the third line (114) can include approximate sampling rates of 11.025 kHz, 22.05 kHz, and 44.1 kHz.

  • Publication number: 20070140058
Abstract: The embodiments of the invention concern a method (400) and system (100) for modeling transducer non-linearities. The method can include converting (402) a transducer signal to a displacement signal that is proportional to a transducer cone displacement, and applying (404) a correction to the displacement signal. The transducer signal can be one of an input signal to the transducer (102) or an acoustic output signal of the transducer. The method can account for at least one mechanical transducer non-linearity which can be a cone excursion, a diaphragm stiffness, or a diaphragm displacement. The method can account for at least one acoustic transducer non-linearity which can account for an acoustic jetting out of a port. The system can further include a sensor coupled to said transducer for physically measuring a cone displacement.

  • Publication number: 20070036342
Abstract: The invention concerns a system (100) and method (400) for operation of a voice activity detector (230). The system can include a speaker (105), a first microphone (110) and a second microphone (120) in which the first microphone and the second microphone can capture acoustic output from the speaker. The system can also include an adaptive module (220) in which the first microphone and the second microphone can provide signals to the adaptive module, and the adaptive module can provide an input to the voice activity detector. The adaptive module can receive a first input (242) from the first microphone and a second input (243) from the second microphone and can attempt to determine (430) a transformation between the first and second inputs for setting a configuration of the voice activity detector.
