  • Patent number: 7608758
Abstract: A gene causative of a phenotype is easily specified and thus gene functions are comprehensively analyzed. A method for analyzing a gene function includes (a) infecting a plant group with a full-length cDNA library containing an expression regulatory sequence to introduce the cDNA into the plants; (b) selecting a plant complying with desired selection requirements from the plants into which the cDNA has been introduced; (c) isolating the cDNA from the selected plant; and (d) re-introducing the thus isolated cDNA into a plant of the same species as the plant into which the cDNA has been introduced, to reconfirm a phenotype according to the selection requirements.

  • Publication number: 20080216196
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of regulating expression of a gene by (a) preparing a recombinant plant cell line, plant tissue or plant with an expression vector having an abiotic environmental stress-responsive promoter of SEQ ID NO: 27 and the gene downstream thereof; and (b) culturing and cultivating the recombinant plant cell, plant tissue or plant under an abiotic environmental stress, wherein the promoter regulates the expression of the gene under the abiotic environmental stress.

  • Patent number: 5323844
Abstract: A refrigerant heating type air conditioner operable in a cooling mode and a heating mode includes a first external heat exchanger which works as a condenser in the cooling mode and a second external heat-exchanger which works as an evaporator. Bypass means is disposed between a discharge side of a compressor and the second external heat-exchanger. An expansion valve is connected to an inner heat-exchanger, which works as a condenser in the heating mode, and to both the first and second external heat-exchangers. A control valve is disposed between a suction port side of the second external heat-exchanger for preventing the refrigerant from flowing to the second external heat-exchanger in the cooling mode. Pressure of the refrigerant which is trapped between the control valve and the expansion valve is increased by applying heat, by heating means, to the second external heat-exchanger.
