  • Patent number: 9947226
Abstract: A system and method are provided and include a blind spot monitoring system with a blind spot sensor that monitors a focus area within a blind spot detection area of a subject vehicle and that generates an alert when a secondary vehicle is detected within the focus area of the blind spot detection area. A controller receives data corresponding to an amount of traffic at a location of the subject vehicle, determines the level of traffic at the location of the subject vehicle based on the data, and reduces the focus area when the level of traffic is greater than a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 9931981
Abstract: A system and method are provided and include a rotatable blind spot sensor that monitors a blind spot detection area of a subject vehicle. The rotatable blind spot sensor generates first object data while positioned at a first angle and second object data while positioned at a second angle. A controller receives the first object data and the second object data and determines whether the object is a secondary vehicle located within a blind spot detection area of the subject vehicle. A driver alert system generates an alert in response to the controller determining that the object is the secondary vehicle located within the blind spot detection area of the subject vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170293129
Abstract: An image quality is improved although a medical stereomicroscope optical system and a medical observation apparatus are small and light. An objective optical system and a plurality of imaging optical systems are arranged in an order from an object side to an image side, and the imaging optical system has at least a single aspheric surface. Accordingly, a spherical aberration and a field curvature are improved, and the image quality is improved although the medical stereomicroscope optical system and a medical observation apparatus are small and light.

  • Patent number: 9081089
Abstract: To achieve an unnecessary signal identifying device that can accurately identify an unnecessary signal from a reception signal. Correlators 321-32n correlation process the reception signal and a replica code at every predetermined timing, and output correlation data. Each of Buffers 331-33n stores a predetermined sampling number of the correlation data along a code phase axis, and output them to FFT processors 341-34n and a identifier 35. Each of the FFT processors 341-34n FFT processes the predetermined sampling number of the correlation data to acquire a frequency spectrum, and output it to the identifier 35. From a correlation data series on the code phase axis and the frequency spectrum, the identifier 35 acquires a property of the correlation data for a two-dimensional range of the code phase axis and a frequency axis, and identifies the signal with the property coinciding matching with characteristics of the unnecessary signal as the unnecessary signal.

  • Patent number: 7308120
Abstract: A facial image identifying apparatus checks a facial image of a user captured by an image capturing unit such as a camera or the like against facial images of registered users for thereby identifying the user. When the facial image identifying apparatus starts to detect a facial image of an examinee user, it determines whether a situation of the image captured by the image capturing unit is appropriate to detect the facial image. If the situation is judged as being inappropriate, then information representing that the situation is inappropriate is presented to the examinee user. Based on the presented information, the examinee user can make an action to improve the situation of the captured image.
