  • Patent number: 6225562
Abstract: A sealing agent is filled into gaps between adjacent groups of electric wires and gaps between the groups of the electric wires and an inner peripheral surface of a grommet. The sealing agent is of a two-liquid reactive hardening type and includes a main agent and a hardening agent, the main agent containing a viscosity depressant mixed with hardening accelerators at a predetermined ratio. The sealing agent has a viscosity of 200 cps-500 cps in a grommet-to-wire assembly environment and gels in three to seven minutes. The mixing weight ratio between the main agent and the hardening agent of the sealing agent is set to a range of 5.5:1-1:1. The main agent includes polyether polyol, triethanolamine and dibutyltin dilaurate both used as the hardening accelerators, a low-molecular weight aromatic hydrocarbon used as a viscosity depressant, and an anti-oxidant. The hardening agent includes polyisocyanate.

  • Patent number: 5828007
Abstract: In order to radiate heat so that a wire does not experience smoking before a fuse blows out, a wire 10 is formed by covering a core 13 made of conductive wires with an insulation sheath 12. The insulation sheath 12 is made of a radiating insulation material having a high thermal conductivity obtained by mixing one or more of silica, alumina, magnesium oxide, boron nitride and beryllium oxide with poly vinyl chloride.

  • Patent number: 5526549
Abstract: A grommet comprising: a panel mounting portion which is mounted on an opening of a panel and has a large-diameter hole for loosely receiving a wiring harness; a wire receiving portion which is formed axially integrally with the panel mounting portion and has a small-diameter hole for closely receiving the wiring harness; the large-diameter hole being communicated with the small-diameter hole such that the wiring harness is inserted through the small-diameter hole and the large-diameter hole in an insertion direction oriented from the small-diameter hole to the large-diameter hole; and a plurality of ribs which are provided in the large-diameter hole so as to extend in parallel with the insertion direction of the wiring harness.

  • Patent number: 5402970
Abstract: This invention aims to increase a clamping force exerted on an electrical cable to thereby prevent it from being shifted by an external force when provided in a bandtype clamp for a wire harness. The band-type clamp for the wire harness has a band securing portion 2 formed on a proximal end 9 of a winding band 1 and is provided with a lock member 3 which stands on the portion 2 and is adapted to be engaged with a mounting hole in a car body. The winding band 1 is provided near the proximal end 9 and on the rear side thereof with a cable stopping belt 10 which is raised longitudinally from the rear side, connected to the band 1 at the opposite ends 7 thereof, and is separated at the opposite side edges 8 from the winding band 1 when it is straightened. The cable stopping belt 10 is provided in an opposing in relationship to a lower face 5 of the band securing portion 2 at the intermediate part thereof when an electrical cable 6 is clamped by the winding band 1.
