  • Patent number: 7410719
Abstract: A porous carbon base material includes a sheet containing carbon short fibers dispersed randomly and a carbonized resin, in which the carbon short fibers are bound by the carbonized resin and the volume of pores having a pore diameter of 10 ?m or less is 0.05 to 0.16 cc/g. A method for producing this porous carbon base material includes intermittently transporting a precursor fiber sheet including short carbon fibers dispersed randomly and a resin to a space between heated plates, subjecting the precursor to a heating and pressuring treatment by the heated plates while the transformation stops, carrying out the transportation of the sheet after the treatment, and then carrying out a heat treatment, to thereby carbonize the resin in the sheet.

  • Publication number: 20080146350
Abstract: A branching tree program replays audio data, and thereafter, when the user performs a selection of alternatives, the branching tree program replays audio data in the branching tree which is the target of selection. The branching tree program progresses a game by repeating this type of selection and replaying. If the end of the branching tree is reached, or if the next item of audio data is not stored upon the portable telephone, then the required data or program is downloaded from a server device 50, and the game is continued. Accordingly, along with it being possible to progress the story of the game by simple actuation, also it is possible to economize upon the storage space, and moreover it is possible to utilize story data without changing the program. As a result, along with it being possible to progress the story of the game by simple actuation, also it is possible to economize upon the storage space, and moreover it is possible to utilize story data without changing the program.

  • Publication number: 20070159453
Abstract: The present invention provides a mobile communication terminal that enables advanced operability and flexibility in user operation while maintaining portability. This mobile communication terminal includes an image projection unit 130, a key selection detection unit (an operation detection means) 180, and a main control unit (a data processing means) 111. The image projection unit 130 projects an operation-plane image that virtually displays the operation-plane of an operation device operated by users. The key selection detection unit 180 detects operation on the operation-plane image (key layout image) projected by the image projection unit 130. The main control unit 111 executes a predetermined data process, based on the detection results of operation detected by the key selection detection unit 180.

  • Publication number: 20070030455
Abstract: The present invention provides an information communication terminal etc. capable of projecting images utilizing a feature of image projection. When projecting images at the time of receiving information during image projection mode execution as such, incoming notification image data stored as dedicated images for projection which are different from images to be displayed on the image section 119 are read from the internal memory 112, and an image projection unit 130 is controlled to project the incoming notification image. When projecting the incoming notification image, sound output means (voice processing unit 115 and speaker 117) may be controlled to output incoming sound for image projection which is different from normal incoming sound when projecting no image.

  • Publication number: 20060166075
Abstract: A nonwoven fabric comprising flame-retardant acrylic fibers, characterized in that it has a weight per square-meter of 70 to 190 g/m2, a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm, a density of 0.35 to 0.8 g/cm3; and a nonwoven fabric comprising carbon fibers, characterized in that it has a weight per square-meter of 50 to 150 g/m2, a thickness of 0.1 to 0.25 mm, a density of 0.3 to 0.7 g/cm3, a surface roughness Ra of 30 ?m or less, a tensile strength of 0.2 kgf/cm or more, and a maximum fracture radius being defined in the specification of 20 mm or less. Said carbon fiber nonwoven fabric is produced by subjecting the flame-retardant acrylic fiber nonwoven fabric to a carbonization treatment and can be suitably used as a material for forming an electrode of a fuel cell.

  • Publication number: 20040241078
Abstract: A fuel cell-use carbon fiber woven fabric, especially a carbon fiber woven fabric preferably used for the electrode diffusion layer of an electrode element in a fuel cell. The electrode diffusion layer of an electrode element in a fuel cell, requiring conductivity, gas diffusing/permeating features, and strength that withstands handling, is formed from carbon fiber woven fabrics as is widely known. The conventional carbon fiber woven fabric poses such problems that deformation by compression is large, the dimension of a fuel cell is significantly changed by pressurizing, irregularities by weave texture are large, and contact resistance is large. A carbon fiber woven fabric used for a fuel cell-use carbon fiber woven fabric has an average size of warps and wefts constituting the woven fabric of 0.005-0.028 g/m, and a woven density of the warps and/or wefts of 20 pieces/cm.

  • Patent number: 6489051
Abstract: The present invention provides carbon fibre paper for use as current collectors for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell. Specifically, it relates to a carbon fibre paper in a polymer electrolyte fuel cell in a state where short carbon fibres are bound with a polymer material and, taking the thickness as X mm, the thickness at the time of 2.9 MPa applied pressure as Y mm and the length of the short carbon fibre as W mm, at least 95% of the short carbon fibres excluding those of length (Y+0.1) mm or less satisfy the relation W≧5X. Taking the average length as Z mm, it is also preferred that the relation Z≧5X also be satisfied, and the short carbon fibre diameter D (&mgr;m), tensile strength &sgr; (MPa) and tensile modulus (E) satisfy the following relation: &sgr;/(E×D)≧0.5×10−3.

  • Patent number: 6150040
Abstract: A pure steam-related apparatus, which is one of apparatus in the group of pure steam generators generating pure steam from purified water, pipelines for pure steam and sterilizers using pure steam, is protected from discoloration, so-called "fouling", to red or black caused by contact with the pure steam. The apparatus is manufactured by using an austenitic stainless steel sheet as the material, by taking the blanks from the material which received no mechanical surface polishing, by deforming and welding, without electrolytic polishing customarily done, and by passivating the surface to contact pure water to increase Cr-content in the passivation film to such extent as 45 atomic % or higher, preferably 55 atomic % or higher. Better results will be obtained by ensuring Cr/Fe ratio in the passivation film at the level of 1.45 or higher, preferably, 1.70 or higher.

  • Patent number: 6074108
Abstract: A method of cleaning a film transport unit (5), in which a cleaning leader (80) formed of a synthetic fiber (81) hardened with a resin (82) is transported through a transport path of the film transport unit, and the cleaning leader (80) removes substances adhering to a magnetic head (32a) disposed in the transport path, with said cleaning leader. Preferably, the synthetic fiber is hardened by being impregnated with a resin (82) selected from urethane resin, acrylic resin and silicone resin. Preferably, the cleaning leader (80) is elongated to be an identical or similar shape to a film (2) transported through the film transport unit (5). At least a leading end of the cleaning leader is hardened.
