  • Patent number: 5833768
Abstract: A method of producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet with a very low core loss comprises the steps of obtaining a rolled strip of final product thickness using as a starting material molten steel consisting of not more than 0.10 wt % C, 2.5-7.0 wt % Si, ordinary inhibitor components and the balance of iron and unavoidable impurities, heating the strip to a temperature range of not less than 700.degree. C. at a heating rate of not less than 80.degree. C./s and within 0.1 second after the maximum temperature has been reached cooling the strip at a cooling rate of not less than 50.degree. C./s, and subjecting the strip to decarburization annealing and final finish annealing.

  • Patent number: 5696933
Abstract: When an amount of write data instructed by an upper-level system is small, a plurality of disk units are accessed individually and data split in sectors is written therein (Level 5 RAID). When an amount of write data instructed by the upper-level system is large, the plurality of disk units are accessed in parallel and data split in sectors is written therein (Level 3 RAID). When a disk unit in an array, to which a setup instruction is issued according to a processing request sent from the upper-level system, returns a fault reply, an ID management table is used to allocate an auxiliary disk instead of the failing disk unit. After the allocation, data is restored to the replacement disk using the data in normal disk units in the same rank. In a dual-port access configuration, when two transactions access disk units connected to the same port, a deadlock may occur depending on the access procedure.

  • Patent number: 5433851
Abstract: A filter designed in compact form and requiring low filtration cost, by which there is no need to replace filter each time it becomes clogged and for which no liquid for backwashing is required, and with which is possible to filter under liquid pressure. In the filter, two ends of a filtering segment with a predetermined length of a filter medium in an oblong tube shape are movably and closely squeezed and held by a pair of opposing pressure rollers. A raw liquid introducing pipe is closely squeezed and held between a pair of pressure rollers, a forward end of the raw liquid introducing pipe is disposed within the range of the filtering segment of the tube-like filter medium. The filter medium is moved to the filtering segment constantly or when the filter medium is clogged, and the clogged filter medium is moved beyond the range of the filtering segment.

  • Patent number: 5303389
Abstract: In a data processing system including at least two processing units having different throughputs for performing sequential access upon a main storage unit, the number of elements of the main storage unit simultaneously accessed by the processing units is different, or the sequence of elements accessed by one of the processing units is reversed, thereby substantially improving the input/output throughput for the main storage unit.

  • Patent number: 5082509
Abstract: A method of producing an oriented electrical steel sheet having superior magnetic properties comprises the steps of, hot rolling a slab containing 0.8 to 6.8% of Si, 0.008% of Al acid soluble, the balance being Fe and accompanying impurities, by weight to form a strip, cold rolling the strip, primary-recrystallization annealing, coating the strip with an annealing separator, and finishing annealing, a nitriding treatment being effected after the primary recrystallization annealing but before the start of the secondary recrystallization of the finishing annealing. According to the present invention, with an atmosphere oxidizing degree (PH.sub.2 O/PH.sub.2): x in a soaking process in said primary recrystallization annealing an annealing is effected in an atmosphere which has an oxidizing degree (PH.sub.2 O/PH.sub.2): y in a range defined by the following inequality, at a temperature ranging from 650.degree. to 800.degree. C. in the heating process, for at least 5 secs.

  • Patent number: 5073871
Abstract: An access priority control system for a main storage for a computer, for controlling a signal transmission to the main storage upon receiving a plurality of storage access requests from at least one processor related to the main storage. The system includes a first access request port unit for holding at least temporarily a segment address of the storage access requests from the processor; a first control unit responsive to the output of the first access request port unit for checking bus conflict conditions and prohibition conditions for a destination storage segment determined by the address of the storage access request; a second access request port unit responsive to the output of the first control unit for holding at least temporarily an intra-segment address of the storage access request; and a second control unit responsive to the output of the second access request port unit for checking logical storage busy conditions in the storage segments.

  • Patent number: 4491935
Abstract: A shift register which is formed by a memory, the number of shift stages of the shift register is determined by the count value of a counter and designating a read address of the memory by a value obtained by subtracting an arbitrary constant from the count value of the counter through an operator. A multiplexer is provided at the input side of the operator. Output data, obtained by selecting a constant for determining the number of shift stages of the counter and a scan address in accordance with a scan enable signal, are provided to the operator. When the constant for determining the number of shift stages of the counter is input, the operation of the shift register is carried out and when the scan address is input, the content of each stage of the shift register is scanned out.
