  • Patent number: 9641772
Abstract: A calibration system for a passive millimeter-wave (PMMW) camera. The calibration system includes a thermal calibrator having a first thermally conducting body, a second thermally conducting body, a first black body target mounted to a front surface of the first conducting body, a second black body target mounted to a front surface of the second conducting body, and a thermo-electric (TE) cooling device having a hot side and a cold side. The hot side of the TE cooling device is thermally attached to the first conducting body and the cold side of the TE cooling device is thermally attached to the second conducting body.

  • Publication number: 20150122994
Abstract: An imaging system is provided. The system includes a receiver to passively receive a millimeter wave (MMW) power level input from a scene and generates an analog output signal. A driver circuit receives the analog output signal and generates a drive output signal based on the amplitude of the analog output signal. A wavelength converter generates a light intensity output is a replica of a portion of the scene associated with the MMW power level input at a different wavelength range than the MMW power level input wavelength range.

  • Patent number: 5763054
Abstract: An anti-reflection coating for optical elements and a method for forming an anti-reflection coating on an optical element includes one or more layers of a woven plastic mesh material that may be layered on the surface of an optical element such as the lens and secured thereto with a suitable adhesiveor pressed on to the surface by either a peripheral retaining ring or bodily pressed in place by a low loss, low dielectric medium. The number and thickness of the layers of the woven plastic mesh material are selected to provide optimal reduction of reflection losses.
