    Abstract: A medical image scanning system includes a top plate on which an object is placed, a drive screw shaft, and a fall prevention unit. The fall prevention unit includes a load support nut that is threadedly engaged with the drive screw shaft and to which the load of the top plate is applied; a fall prevention nut that is arranged below the load support nut and is threadedly engaged with the drive screw shaft; a rotation prevention mechanism that prevents the rotation of the load support nut; and a detent mechanism that performs the turning stop of the fall prevention nut and releases the turning stop of the fall prevention nut when the threaded engagement between the drive screw shaft and the load support nut is disconnected.

    Abstract: The present invention includes: X-ray shielding materials; X-ray shielding material mounting plates to which the X-ray shielding portions are fixed; a driven side link and a driving side link that connect the two X-ray shielding material mounting plates to each other so that the X-ray shielding portions face each other and cross each other; connecting portions that connect each of the X-ray shielding material mounting plates to the driven side link and the driving side link; and a driving device that drives the driving side link so as to rotate. Connecting portions and are provided at positions not interfering with a movable region of the X-ray shielding material mounting plates formed in conjunction with the rotational driving of the driven side link and the driving side link. The X-ray shielding material mounting plates are moved by the rotational driving of the driving side link and accordingly, the slit width between the X-ray shielding materials is changed.

An X-ray tube and one or more circuit units are fixed on the inner wall of the cylinder portion 42. Thereby, the centers of gravity of an X-ray detection unit and the circuit units can be positioned at the center position in the direction of the rotation axis 32 of the cylinder portion 42.

    Abstract: An X-ray examination apparatus includes an X-ray diagnosis apparatus (first imaging area), an X-ray CT apparatus (second imaging area), a bed, and the X-ray diagnosis apparatus and the X-ray CT apparatus are arranged along a path of movement of a top plate of the bed in such a manner that the first and second imaging areas are spaced a predetermined distance from each other in a path of movement of the top plate. There is provided a top plate reciprocal movement control means which through operations of switches moves the top plate forward and backward between a first top plate position where a desired part of the patient is positioned at the first imaging area and a second top plate position where the top plate is spaced from the first top plate position toward the X-ray CT apparatus by a distance corresponding to the distance between the first and second imaging areas so that in the reciprocal movement of the two apparatuses, the top plate can be stopped at the first and second top plate position.
